Detectamet, a global leader in food-safe detectable products, is looking for an experienced and driven IT Manager to help shape and deliver the company’s evolving technology strategy. This is a critical role for a passionate problem solver who can balance day-to-day support operations with long-term planning and system development. You will lead a small but capable team through a period of exciting change, playing a pivotal role in our journey toward a more integrated, data-driven, and efficient IT landscape. As part of this role, you will also be responsible for providing IT support across our global operations, ensuring consistent and effective solutions for teams around the world. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development • Lead and mentor the internal IT team and manage external vendors. • Identify skill gaps and introduce structured learning (e.g., Power BI, Azure, ERP, cybersecurity). • Provide hands-on support and training across departments. IT Strategy & Planning • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with business goals. • Introduce project planning discipline and structure to a previously reactive environment. Systems & Infrastructure • Oversee and improve infrastructure, networks, and key systems: Sage 200, Sicon, Magento, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365. • Lead system integration projects, cloud migration (Azure), and disaster recovery initiatives. Security & Compliance • Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols and maintain data protection compliance (e.g., GDPR). • Collaborate with external experts on audits and system hardening. • Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Budget & Asset Management • Manage IT budgets, licences, hardware procurement, and asset lifecycle. Automation & Integration • Advocate for and implement automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) to streamline workflows. • Support integration projects across platforms like Magento, HubSpot, and Ship Station. Business Intelligence & Data • Lay the foundation for a mature data strategy. • Support Power BI development, DAX, and data governance initiatives across the business. E-commerce & UX • Support the Magento e-commerce platform and help balance development and marketing needs. • Promote best practices in UX, UI, and conversion rate optimisation (CRO). About You You are a proactive, pragmatic IT professional who thrives on solving problems, empowering others, and delivering measurable impact. You balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, and you are comfortable working across all levels of the business.
