Founding Sales Executive (SDR/AE Hybrid)
New York (Hybrid, c.2 days/week)
Base $75k–$100k
OTE $125k–$150k (uncapped)

Seed-stage AI start-up in e-commerce personalisation is hiring its first sales hire. If you’re a high-performing SDR who wants to break into closing—or a junior AE ready to take on founding-level responsibility—this is your runway. You’ll open pipeline, run your own discovery and demos, convert pilots to paid, and help write the GTM playbook with the CEO.
What you’ll do
• Run the cycle end-to-end: prospecting → qualification → discovery → demos → follow-ups → close.
• Build and maintain a quality B2B pipeline across outbound (email, LinkedIn, cold calls) and inbound; experiment with channels and messaging.
• Translate pains into clear value for an AI-driven personalisation platform; speak credibly about timelines, integrations and ROI.
• Drive deals with urgency and autonomy; pull in CEO/Product/Engineering at the right moments.
• Use and trial tooling (HubSpot, Apollo or similar) to track outreach and performance—keep what works, bin what doesn’t.
• (Bonus) Represent the company at industry events/conferences to spark pilots and accelerate pipeline.
What you’ll bring
• 2–4 years’ B2B SaaS sales with a track record of meeting/exceeding quota.
• Evidence you can progress deals (or materially support them) from first touch to close.
• Startup energy: proactive, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, and keen to own outcomes.
Progression & support
• Clear path from SDR→AE (or junior AE→full AE ownership) with direct coaching from the CEO.
• Founding scope: help shape messaging, sequences, demo flows, pilot→paid conversion and early playbooks.
Comp & logistics
• Base: $75k–$100k · OTE: $125k–$150k, uncapped commission · Equity offered.
• Hybrid NYC: ~2 days in office near Bryant Park
