Elite have partnered with an iconic high-street brand, who are seeking an experienced Junior Merchandiser to join the team.
Role Overview:
As a Junior Merchandiser, you will support the Merchandising team in planning, developing, and delivering commercial product ranges that balance creativity with business objectives. You will play a key part in managing stock, analysing performance, and collaborating with buying, design, and retail teams to maximise sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in range planning and seasonal product strategy alongside Merchandisers and Buyers.
• Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and best/worst sellers; recommend actions to optimise performance.
• Support in forecasting demand, planning stock intake, and managing replenishment.
• Produce weekly and seasonal trading reports and provide insights on trends and performance.
• Track deliveries and work with supply chain/warehouse teams to ensure product availability.
• Maintain critical path and update key stakeholders on product status.
• Liaise with store teams and e-commerce to ensure product launches, promotions, and markdowns are executed effectively.
• Support markdown strategy and in-season trading decisions to maximise profitability.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Buying, Design, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising teams.
Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience in a merchandising or allocation role within retail (fashion experience preferred).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident working with large data sets.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of fashion trends and consumer behavior.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
