Role description
ALCO Jewelry is hiring a Lifecycle & Community Marketing Manager to lead email, SMS, and community engagement for our fast-growing DTC brand. This role focuses on retention marketing, lifecycle flows, segmentation, and loyalty programs that strengthen customer relationships and build a cult-following community.
About ALCO Jewelry
ALCO is more than jewelry — we’re building a community of people who live freely, intentionally, and on their own terms. Our pieces are made to move with you through every season of life, and our community is at the heart of everything we do.
Job Description
As our Lifecycle & Community Marketing Manager, you’ll shape strategies that drive repeat purchases and keep our community connected. You will own lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, and community engagement — a role that demands a balance of big-picture strategy, hands-on execution, and continuous improvement. You’ll thrive here if you’re self-driven and resourceful, excited to take initiative in a fast-moving environment, and able to consistently deliver results without needing daily direction.
Responsibilities:
Email & SMS (60%)
• Own Klaviyo strategy and execution end-to-end.
• Build and optimize flows (welcome, post-purchase, winback, birthday, VIP, wholesale, etc.).
• Create segmentation strategies to deliver targeted campaigns.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on creative, while owning planning, testing, and performance of campaigns.
• Report weekly on lifecycle KPIs (open rate, CTR, revenue, LTV, unsubscribe, repeat purchase rate).
Community & Loyalty (30%)
• Manage our community initiatives and customer rewards/loyalty program; dream up activations that keep our community inspired.
• Be the first point of contact for inbound influencer requests — vet, organize, and track.
• Build initiatives that strengthen our “cult following” (exclusive drops, surprise & delight, polls, giveaways, etc.).
• Act as the internal voice of the community, sharing customer insights and feedback with the team.
Analytics & Reporting (10%)
• Create lightweight dashboards to track lifecycle + community performance.
• Share clear insights with leadership to guide decision-making.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years in lifecycle/retention marketing, ideally in DTC e-commerce.
• Hands-on Klaviyo experience (flows, segmentation, A/B testing).
• Familiar with Notion for project management.
• Adobe experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of customer journeys and repeat purchase strategies.
• Experience managing influencer programs, ambassadors, or customer communities.
• Comfortable in data — able to pull insights and present them simply.
• Creative thinker who can balance analytics with brand voice.
• Self-starter who thrives in flexible environments, takes ownership, and consistently delivers thoughtful work.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and cares deeply about the work you put into the world.
• Excited by the idea of growing a cult brand community, not just running campaigns.
Tools & Systems
• Klaviyo (email & SMS)
• Notion (project management)
• Shopify (e-commerce)
• Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (plus other creative tools, if applicable)
Success in This Role Looks Like
• Increased repeat purchase rate + higher LTV from segmented email/SMS strategy.
• Email campaigns consistently contribute a significant % of monthly revenue.
• ALCO Insiders program is thriving with engaged members and growing participation.
• Influencer inbound is organized, vetted, and leveraged into high-quality content.
• Rewards program is re-energized and driving loyalty.
• You work independently, proactively seeking out opportunities to enhance the business, bringing forward ideas and initiatives without needing daily direction.
Why Join ALCO
• Freedom & flexibility: Work from anywhere with high trust and autonomy.
• Creative input: ideas are welcomed, collaboration is encouraged, and your voice matters.
• Startup energy: fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and full of opportunities to build new things from scratch.
• Direct impact: your work shapes how customers experience ALCO
• Growth opportunities: work closely with the founder, gain exposure to brand strategy, and potential growth into leadership roles as the company grows.
• Community: join the ALCO team and feel the same sense of connection and belonging that we create for our customers.
• Coworking credit: monthly stipend toward a local coworking space so you can choose how and where you do your best work.
This is more than a marketing role — it’s a chance to help write ALCO’s next chapter.
