Role description
At CloudOne Digital, home to leading brands like Liquid Web, Servers.com, and StellarWP, weβre looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to drive customer growth and retention. In this role, youβll own the strategy, execution, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns that convert prospects into customers, increase ARPU through targeted upsell and cross-sell efforts, and reduce churn across key ICPs. Youβll work closely with paid media, SEO/content, product marketing, and creative teams to deliver tailored messaging, automated lifecycle journeys, and proactive AI-powered campaigns that directly impact revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
β’ Assist in the development of ICP-specific lifecycle strategies for email, SMS, and proactive live chat that align with the broader volumetric growth plan.
β’ Define segment-specific customer journeys for each ICP, mapping acquisition, upsell, cross-sell, and retention touchpoints. Partner with Product Marketing to ensure lifecycle messaging aligns with product positioning and upgrade paths.
Segmentation & Audience Targeting
β’ Develop and manage audience segments for each ICP, tailoring content, offers, and CTAs accordingly.
β’ Ensure data hygiene, list maintenance, and integration between marketing automation platforms and CRM.
Campaign Development & Execution
β’ Build, launch, and manage automated and ad hoc campaigns across email, SMS, and proactive live chat.
β’ Code responsive HTML emails, collaborate with creative for assets, and ensure brand consistency.
β’ Configure lifecycle journeys, triggers, and segmentation in the marketing automation platform.
β’ Deploy proactive AI live chat triggers tied to ICP behaviors and lifecycle stages.
Optimization & Performance
β’ Monitor and improve lifecycle KPIs including Net-New MRR, expansion MRR, attach rate of add-ons, churn rate, and NRR.
β’ Use behavior-based triggers (ie CPU usage, plan limits, abandoned carts) to launch timely upgrade/cross-sell prompts. Conduct A/B tests on messaging, offers, and timing to maximize conversion and retention rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
β’ Work with Paid Media, SEO, and Content teams to align top-of-funnel acquisition efforts with lifecycle messaging.
β’ Partner with Creative for campaign assets and CRO team for landing page optimization.
β’ Coordinate with BI for customer segmentation, reporting, and journey performance insights.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 5+ years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing (SaaS, hosting, or ecommerce experience preferred).
β’ Proven track record building automated, multi-channel lifecycle programs that drive revenue growth.
β’ Strong understanding of customer segmentation, ICP-based marketing, and behavior-driven triggers.
β’ Hands-on experience with CRM & email/SMS automation platforms (Salesforce, Customer.io, HubSpot, etc.).
β’ HTML/CSS skills for email coding.
β’ Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret KPIs and recommend optimizations accordingly.
β’ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
β’ Strong collaboration skills for working across marketing, product, and creative teams.
