Job Description:
The Commerce & Retail Media team at Dentsu leads strategy, activation and optimizations for a large buy-side Retail Media client. We are looking for a detail-oriented, retail media–savvy professional to join our team supporting a large CPG client with a primary focus on Instacart and Doordash, and Uber and GoPuff retail media networks. As a Manager, you will demonstrate the ability to strategize, plan, optimize and report client marketing campaigns across these retailers. You will be primarily Search focused, however Display experience (particularly with Instacart) is preferred. You will be responsible for media planning, working directly with clients and vendors, reporting, and ensuring the success of multi-channel campaign initiatives. Your responsibilities will include delivering reports, insights, and strategic projects, all while supporting the team in execution and staying within budget.
You will report to the Associate Director, Commerce & Retail Media, and help manage associates on the team.
You Will:
• Search Planning & Strategy
• Develop and execute retail search strategies across Instacart and other retail media platforms (DoorDash, Uber, GoPuff).
• Align retail search media plans with client KPIs, brand objectives, and broader omnichannel strategies.
• Provide strategic POVs on platform developments, best practices, and competitive opportunities.
• Campaign Management & Execution
• Own end-to-end campaign setup, including keyword strategy, bidding, creative alignment, and audience targeting.
• Monitor pacing and ensure campaigns are delivering against budget and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot issues and work closely with retail media network reps to resolve.
• Optimization & Reporting
• Analyze campaign performance and optimize bids, keywords, and placements to maximize ROI.
• Provide actionable insights, recommendations, and test-and-learn roadmaps to drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver clear, data-driven reporting and presentations to client stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Thought Leadership
• Partner with internal account, creative, and analytics teams to integrate retail search into broader media activations.
• Act as the retail search subject matter expert, sharing platform updates and innovative approaches with clients and agency teams.
• Cultivate relationships with Instacart and other retail media partners to unlock new opportunities.
Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in retail search media planning/buying, with direct experience in retail media networks preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Instacart and other Last Mile delivery platforms.
• Background in CPG brands, especially working with large, complex clients.
• Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets) with the ability to identify trends and insights through data analysis
• Well-honed communication skills and working in the rapidly evolving world of Commerce & Retail Media
The annual salary range for this position is $51,000 -$83,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
