Marketing Analyst
Role is remote 20 hours/week, would like the candidate to be able to go onsite as needed
Summary
A temporary Marketing Analyst role focused on leading analytics efforts for a major website redesign and replatforming initiative. This individual will act as the business lead for analytics, ensuring accurate reporting, tagging, and dashboards to enable omni-channel insights. The position also supports execution of key marketing data initiatives and provides strategic insights to enhance acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
Responsibilities
• Serve as analytics business lead for a large-scale website redesign project.
• Review and assess existing reporting, analytics tools, and campaign metrics.
• Gain deep understanding of Google Analytics setup and relevant campaign/transactional reporting.
• Map customer journeys across website, mobile, and app.
• Partner with product development, marketing, brand, loyalty, and servicing teams to define reporting requirements.
• Provide input for enterprise-wide data strategy and marketing data vision initiatives.
• Define business requirements for analytics tagging to support new features and user flows.
• Support omni-channel marketing initiatives with actionable insights across the full customer lifecycle.
• Evaluate reporting tools, data processes, and propose improvements for future investment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with agencies and internal teams to align analytics with business goals.
Qualifications
• Experience: 5–7 years in marketing analytics; 3+ years management experience.
• Tools: Proficiency in Tableau or Looker, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Excel (charts, pivot tables, formulas).
• Skills:
• Strong background in marketing attribution models, A/B testing, and campaign measurement across multiple channels (email, social, PPC, display).
• Understanding of e-commerce strategies for acquisition and retention.
• Knowledge of relational databases and statistical software (SAS a plus).
• Familiar with paid media performance metrics.
• Strong oral and written communication; ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Bonus Skills: Experience with Python for statistical modeling, Omniture Site Catalyst, or subscription/travel/hospitality industries.
