With state-of-the-art facilities and a vertically integrated manufacturing process, they are expanding their product line and ramping up digital sales efforts. The company is at a pivotal point in its growth and is looking for a strategic, hands-on Marketing Leader to help scale the business and elevate the brand in the digital marketplace. Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Leader to develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing and sales strategy that will drive growth and expand the company's online presence. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the firearms industry, specifically navigating the challenges of marketing and advertising in this highly regulated space. You will be responsible for growing digital sales, increasing brand awareness, and optimizing marketing spend to ensure the company’s continued expansion and success. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both strategic vision and tactical execution, where you will build and manage a high-performing marketing team, lead digital campaigns, and deliver measurable growth from day one. Key Responsibilities: • Strategic Leadership: Design and implement a robust digital marketing and eCommerce strategy to increase sales, brand visibility, and market share within the firearms industry. • Execution & Ownership: Take full ownership of the company’s eCommerce business. Assess current strategies, develop a needs-based plan, and execute solutions to drive measurable outcomes. • Team Building: Identify talent gaps and hire, train, and manage a skilled digital marketing, sales, and eCommerce operations team. • Growth Delivery: Increase revenue, profitability, and market awareness through targeted digital marketing efforts, customer engagement, and margin optimization. • Adaptability: Dive into the operational trenches when needed—whether analyzing performance metrics, running digital campaigns, or driving high-level strategic discussions—until the right team is in place. • Performance Accountability: Regularly track progress against goals, pivot strategies as needed and optimize for ongoing profitable growth. Ideal Candidate Profile: • 5+ years in digital marketing leadership, ideally within the firearms or other tightly regulated industries. • Proven track record of increasing digital sales and scaling eCommerce operations. • Strong background in managing marketing/website teams, with experience building and leading teams of 5+ people. • Demonstrated expertise in navigating industry-specific advertising restrictions and executing successful digital campaigns. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering (MBA preferred). Leadership Style: • A "no excuses" mindset, demonstrating loyalty, respect, and accountability in all actions. • Visionary and pragmatic, able to set a direction while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day operations. • Comfortable making bold decisions, learning from failures, and adapting quickly to changes in the market. Core Skills: • Deep understanding of firearms digital marketing restrictions and proven experience in ROI-driven advertising. • Hands-on expertise in eCommerce, web sales, SEO/SEM, CRM, and customer acquisition/retention. • Strong managerial and leadership skills with the ability to build a high-output, lean team. Year-One Deliverables: 1. Drive a 20% increase in revenue through optimized digital marketing efforts, including pricing strategies and increased sales. 1. Grow brand recognition in highly competitive firearm categories. 1. Improve marketing spend efficiency to increase overall revenue. 1. Establish a scalable marketing and sales team and budget structure to support long-term growth. Challenges: • Managing growth in a competitive and oversupplied market, particularly with slowing retail demand. • Identifying new opportunities for profitable growth in a competitive industry. • Navigating the complexities of digital sales within a regulated advertising environment. • Building a high-performance team while delivering immediate, impactful results.
