This is a senior-level role with a clear path to leadership team participation and company-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead and own Midwest Cards’ entire marketing ecosystem, ensuring campaigns are aligned with brand, business goals, and sales performance.
Strategic Marketing Oversight
• Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to support company revenue, awareness, and brand positioning goals.
• Serve as the strategic lead for all customer acquisition, retention, and engagement efforts.
• Establish KPIs, track performance, and report results directly to leadership.
• Conduct market analysis to monitor trends, competitor moves, and customer behavior to inform decisions and uncover new opportunities.
• Lead brand management efforts to ensure consistent brand identity, voice, and visual standards across all touchpoints.
Core Accountabilities
• Email Campaigns – Plan, execute, and optimize lifecycle email marketing to engage customers and drive conversions.
• Google Ads – Manage PPC campaigns with a focus on ROAS and customer acquisition.
• SEO – Oversee on-site and off-site SEO strategies to improve search rankings and organic traffic.
• Social Media (Organic + Paid) – Develop engaging content and run paid campaigns across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X).
• Website Marketing – Ensure the site is conversion-optimized, updated, and aligned with brand and promotional strategy.
• Retail Store Marketing – Drive local foot traffic through geo-targeted campaigns, in-store signage, and partnerships.
• Live Selling Support – Partner with the live selling team to develop strategies and promotional support for Whatnot and other platforms.
• Promotions – Plan and execute promotional calendars, product drops, giveaways, and cross-channel sales events.
Experience & Qualifications
Must-Haves
• 5+ years of experience in product marketing, with ownership of both performance and brand marketing initiatives.
• Experience at a growth-stage business, ideally in retail, e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer.
• Previous in-house role where you built or scaled marketing operations.
• Demonstrated success in leading remote or freelance marketing teams.
• Strong fluency in leveraging AI tools for creative, analytics, and campaign workflows.
• Proficiency in interpreting data and turning insights into action.
• Excellent communicator with strong project management skills.
Preferred
• Familiarity with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework.
• Personal or professional knowledge of the sports cards or gaming collectibles industry.
• Experience working across multiple revenue channels (ecommerce, retail, livestreaming).
Leadership Path
• After the first 90 days, this role will join the executive leadership team, actively contributing to high-level strategic planning and EOS implementation.
• You will own the Sales & Marketing business function, collaborating with Retail & Live Selling, Operations, and Finance leadership.
Key Objectives
• Grow Revenue – Through targeted acquisition, optimized campaigns, and channel efficiency.
• Increase Brand Awareness – Establish Midwest Cards as a national leader in the sports and gaming collectibles industry.
• Build a Scalable Marketing Function – Lay the foundation for team growth, tooling, and marketing ops maturity.
