The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Manager to lead and execute innovative marketing strategies and campaigns aimed at increasing footfall, sales, and customer engagement. This role requires a creative, results-driven individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive brand success.
Responsibilities:
· Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution: Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, and pay-per-click (PPC) initiatives to enhance customer engagement and boost sales.
· Content Management: Create a content marketing strategy, producing and sharing content through appropriate channels to maximise reach and engagement.
· Retailer Team Collaboration: Partner with the buying team to develop quarterly marketing campaigns, focused on strong promotional offers, launching new initiatives and communicating plans.
· Product Representation: Ensure excellence in product presentation through in-store theatre, effective feature and benefits display/ticketing, and visually appealing merchandising.
· Budget Management: Manage and take ownership of marketing budgets and spending to maximize ROI.
· Sales and Strategic Targets: Work within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) focusing on all aspects of the business to drive success.
· Marketing Execution: Ensure the execution, tracking, communication, management reporting, and performance of all marketing activities are delivered and analysed.
· Campaign Development: Design and launch marketing campaigns and seasonal promotions aligned with the company’s brand values and overall strategy.
· Consumer and Marketing Insights: Monitor customer behaviour and preferences, providing timely insights. Analyse ecommerce platform performance, focusing on conversion rates, customer engagement, and sales.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the marketing team, ensuring they achieve tasks within a timely manner.
· Innovation: Drive marketing innovation through automation and the optimisation of marketing technologies.
· Event Management: Work with the Events Manager to plan and execute an events calendar featuring activities such as Grotto, Circus, Cinema, garden, and food workshops to enhance customer experience.
· Website Management: Create engaging and informative content, reviewing and advising on necessary updates and communicate to the external web company.
The ideal candidate needs
\- Proven experience in a marketing management role, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment.
\- Strong knowledge of multi-channel marketing, including social media, email marketing, content creation, PPC, and event marketing.
\- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
\- Demonstrated experience in budget management and delivering ROI on marketing spend.
\- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
\- Leadership experience with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
