Job Overview:
The Marketing Manager is a versatile and proactive contributor who leads our community engagement strategy, manages professional ambassadors (Pro Staff), and oversees the intake, organization, and deployment of creative content. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of community building, influencer coordination, and content operations, with a keen eye for brand consistency and storytelling.
This position will be mostly based out of a home office with some in-person collaboration required near the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota and onsite in Superior, Wisconsin.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Community Engagement & Brand Loyalty (10%)
\- Grow and manage vibrant online communities across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook Groups, Discord, Reddit).
\- Initiate and moderate conversations to foster meaningful relationships with our audience.
\- Plan and execute online events, challenges, and brand-driven conversations.
Pro Staff / Ambassador Program Management (15%)
\- Recruit, onboard, and manage Pro Staff and brand ambassadors.
\- Coordinate ambassador deliverables, product seeding, and campaign participation.
\- Collect performance data on ambassador efforts, including UGC, sales referrals, and engagement.
Content Management & Creative Ingestion (20%)
\- Serve as the point of intake for all creative assets from internal teams, ambassadors, agencies, and freelancers.
\- Maintain an organized content library and ensure assets are properly tagged, stored, and accessible.
\- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to prioritize and schedule creative needs for campaigns and social channels.
\- Track asset usage and ensure content meets brand standards and deadlines.
Content Distribution & Planning (20%)
\- Assist in writing or editing social posts, blog content, newsletters, and other digital communications.
\- Schedule and publish content across community and marketing channels using CMS and social tools.
\- Optimize content performance using data-driven insights.
Lifecycle/Email Marketing Management (10%)
\- Lead the creative side of monthly/seasonal marketing campaigns
\- Partner very closely with internal E-Commerce Manager
Analytics & Reporting (5%)
\- Monitor and report on key metrics related to community engagement, ambassador performance, and content impact.
\- Use insights to improve content strategies and community initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)
\- Work with internal teams (creative, product, support, e-commerce) to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
\- Act as the voice of the community to help guide marketing strategy and product development.
Leadership (10%)
\- Lead the day-to-day responsibilities and priorities of the social media and marketing internal and external partners and agencies, while under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
\- Has familiarity and comfort using a broad range of social media platforms
\- Familiarity with archery products and their distinct customers and markets
\- Understanding of challenges and changing processes associated with advertising weapons with the ability to quickly adapt and adjust strategies
\- Ability to monitor and make adjustments based on analytics and metrics
\- Creative thinker
Qualifications:
\- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
\- 3–5 years of experience in community management, influencer relations, or content marketing.
\- Experience managing ambassador or Pro Staff programs.
\- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), digital asset management (DAM) tools, and social scheduling platforms.
\- Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
\- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management.
\- Ability to drive or travel by car for some in-person meetings. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with tools like Airtable, Asana, HubSpot, Monday.com, or similar.
• Familiarity with creative production workflows and asset tagging systems.
• Background in lifestyle, outdoor, or enthusiast-based industries (e.g., fitness, fishing, tech, action sports).
