Role description
Are you a strategic, creative, results oriented marketing professional ready to shape marketing strategy of the newest online crafting brand in the UK?
As well as being responsible for the marketing strategy for Craft Market (D2C) working closely with senior management and MD directly, you will also be responsible for the ongoing marketing efforts of our well-established, industry renowned, B2B brands, Balloon Market and Floristry Market.
What will the role consist of?
This is a new role so there will be an element of you helping us define what it looks like. But, for starters:
• Work closely with senior management including the MD to put together comprehensive strategies for the growth of all 3 brands with initial focus on Craft Market.
• Using Klaviyo to build, implement and manage segmented email campaigns for all categories from scratch.
• Work closely with our Google and Bing guy (external) to come up with high reach / low cost paid strategies.
• Improving existing Meta campaigns and build the new Craft Market strategy from the ground up.
• Work with our home-grown digital content creators who all have different jobs in the business but are passionate about their crafting.
• Work very closely with our Digital Media Manager focussing on video as our main communication vehicle (have a look at BMTV on Youtube) and potentially helping identify external talent to help us grow our presence.
• Devising marketing strategies in the digital space covering all main platforms as well as more traditional methodologies, potentially including …….direct mail and guerilla marketing!!
• Advise the e-commerce team on any SEO strategies we could put in place on the sites and potentially exploring external SEO strategies.
• Monitoring and reporting of the performance of all marketing efforts to the whole management team.
• The main KPI you will be measured on will be the cost of marketing as a percentage of sales.
What do we need from you?
This role is going to be a big role in a growing business. There are 49 of us at the moment – you will be the big 50! This is what we will need from you:
• 3+ years of marketing experience as a Marketing Manager, probably in a larger organisation or agency environment.
• Experience of marketing e-commerce brands.
• You will have a positive can-do attitude. Simple, but absolutely key.
• Experience in both digital marketing and brand development. Including but not limited to paid, social, email, traditional methods.
• Able to quickly learn how to live and breath a culture and understand how that translates to our customers’ perception of us.
• Experience managing a team and getting the best out of them.
• Knowledge of Klaviyo, Meta, Google, Bing, and all social platforms.
• Some knowledge of SEO.
• You have meticullous attention to detail ;)
• You are analytical and excited by numbers, yet creative with campaign ideas.
• You thrive when having to find solutions to problems.
• Experience working with video as a medium to not just market products but build a brand.
• Ideally, experience of Big Commerce.
• In the words of Ted Lasso “Be curious, not Judgemental”.
• You understand the importance of great user experience and have probably read ‘Don’t make me think’.
• You love to learn and will want to develop yourself further whilst getting a buzz from utilising what you already know.
• You are open minded enough to listen to others' ideas, no matter who they are from within or external to the business.
What you get from us?
• You will be a big fish in our small but growth focussed pond. So you will make a splash!
• The opportunity to take ownership of the marketing for the newest crafting brand in the UK and two other niche industry leading brands.
• A creative, collaborative and supportive work culture with no politics!
• An on-site role at our Totton office 5 minutes from the M27 J2. Hybrid working a possibility.
• Salary from £40,000pa.
• Free parking.
• Free drinks (no, not alcohol!).
• Staff recognition programme.
