Role description
ROLE OVERVIEW We’re looking for a hybrid HubSpot developer + UX/CRO partner who can turn marketing goals into high‑converting digital experiences. You’ll own our HubSpot‑based web ecosystem end‑to‑end—from translating loose requirements into wireframes, to building custom modules, to running structured experiments that move pipeline and revenue. You’ll collaborate tightly with Marketing, RevOps, and Sales to ship fast, learn fast, and scale what works. KEY OUTCOMES (FIRST 6 MONTHS) • Ship a component library / design system in HubSpot that lets Marketing self‑publish within guardrails. • Stand up conversion tracking + dashboards (GA4 + session tools) with reliable data. • Launch and analyze ongoing A/B / multivariate tests across key pages & forms; publish learnings. • Improve site speed & Core Web Vitals to agreed targets. • Support and optimize Shopify checkout flow continuity from HubSpot landing → cart → purchase. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Web Dev & CMS • Build, extend, and maintain HubSpot CMS pages, templates, and custom modules aligned to brand system. • Create marketer‑friendly, responsive, and accessible components with clear content fields. • Manage environments, version control (Git), QA, and deploy processes. UX / Design Production • Convert business briefs into wireframes, click‑through prototypes, and annotated specs (Figma or similar). • Ensure visual consistency, spacing, typography, and component usage across site. • Run lightweight usability reviews; incorporate session replay & stakeholder feedback. CRO & Experimentation • Own experiment backlog: hypothesis writing, variant builds, test setup, statistical reads, and rollouts. • Optimize forms, CTAs, nav flows, and landing page layouts for conversion lift. Analytics & Insights • Instrument and validate events (GTM/GA4), funnels, and attribution tags. • Analyze behavior using GA4, HubSpot analytics, Hotjar, and form analytics; share actionable insights. Marketing Partnership & Content Ops • Intake and prioritize marketing requests; set SLAs for turnaround. • Enable marketers with reusable modules and documentation; train team on best practices. • Support campaign launches, product drops, webinars, and gated content experiences. Shopify Checkout & Integrations • Ensure data continuity and UX consistency from HubSpot pages to Shopify checkout. • Troubleshoot tracking across domains; optimize checkout conversion in partnership with eComm ops. Performance, Accessibility, Compliance • Monitor & improve Core Web Vitals; run Lighthouse audits. • Maintain WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. • Support privacy, cookie consent, and compliant lead capture (GDPR/CCPA/CASL awareness). QUALIFICATIONS (MUST‑HAVE) • 3+ years building on HubSpot CMS (HubL, custom modules, theme architecture). • Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript; responsive design chops. • Comfortable in Figma (or similar) for wireframes & annotated design handoffs. • Hands‑on CRO / A/B testing (HubSpot, Google Optimize sunset knowledge & alternatives, or similar test tools). • Analytics familiarity: GA4, session replay (Hotjar / Clarity / Crazy Egg), form funnel analysis. • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with Marketing stakeholders under quick timelines. PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE • Broader JS framework exposure (React, Vue) for interactive components. • Experience with Shopify storefront & checkout customizations. • RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data integrations (HubSpot <> Shopify / CRM / analytics). • Git workflow (branches, PRs, rollbacks). • Exposure to CDNs / performance tooling; accessibility auditing tools (axe, Wave).
