Role description
Tecovas is seeking a Merchandising Manager to lead and grow our Work line - our dedicated product offering built for the jobsite. This is a unique opportunity to own and scale a performance-driven category within our Men’s Footwear portfolio, while also spearheading the launch of new product categories that serve hard-working customers. Constantly pushing for industry insights, you will be the foremost Work expert at Tecovas to drive the product lines forward. You will translate performance data, customer feedback, and market insights into compelling product briefs, global line plans, and GTM strategies that resonate with our customer. This role is required to be based in Texas. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Texas. Responsibilities include working directly with Design & Development and Merchandise Planning teams to build, own and manage a portion of the Tecovas Work assortment from concept to commercialization to GTM; leading projects to expand into new product lines and categories; understanding different industries and jobsite requirements; defining and communicating product and assortment requirements; creating and communicating product vision; providing feedback throughout development; researching market and competitive landscape; developing pricing and margin strategies; maintaining product roadmap; collaborating with branding, marketing, and channel teams; analyzing product sales data; coordinating with retail sales, customer service and insights; refining product components; partnering with Planning team for forecasting and exit strategies; presenting product line seasonally; managing business end to end including PLM data and samples. Experience required includes 5+ years in analytically-driven product line management in relevant industries, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in related disciplines, comfort with retail math and inventory metrics, experience with retail buying, PLM software, and data visualization tools, ability to lead cross-functional processes, manage multiple categories, strategic and operational management skills, and willingness to travel periodically.
