Role description
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, target, and onboard key online and offline merchants across various sectors (fashion, electronics, travel, healthcare, etc.)
• Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with merchant decision-makers (CXOs, Heads of Sales/Finance)
• Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing models, and marketing collaboration
• Work closely with product, tech, and legal teams to ensure seamless merchant onboarding and integration
• Act as the point of contact for merchant queries, escalations, and support during the implementation phase
• Monitor and analyze partner performance to drive mutual growth
• Represent the company in external merchant meetings, exhibitions, and business forums
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BNPL and retail trends in the region
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
• 5–8 years of proven experience in merchant acquisition, partnerships, or business development within BNPL, payments, e-commerce, fintech, or banking sector
• Existing network of merchant contacts (especially large retail groups, e-commerce platforms, and service providers in UAE)
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to structure win-win deals
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Familiarity with BNPL, digital payments, and fintech ecosystem
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Preferred Skills:
• Understanding of integration workflows for merchant APIs or POS systems
• Experience launching or scaling fintech products in partnership with merchants
• Ability to manage cross-functional coordination across product, legal, operations, and marketing teams
