Job Description: We are hiring an experienced .NET Developer to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee. The Ohio Department of Medicaid is preparing to expand their team to support the development of a public-facing web application. The Department is implementing a major overhaul of its credentialing system, aiming to centralize credentialing procedures and enable users to access the application through a single sign-on. Experience in the healthcare industry, familiarity with medical providers, and understanding of medical terminology are highly preferred. • Develop and/or modify software applications and components using Visual Studio, .NET, and SharePoint technologies • Ability to learn and show he/she can ramp up fast • Perform application design & development tasks. Focus on developing and supporting custom web-based applications and e-commerce websites • Design and implement front end and back-end development built on ASP.NET • Collaborate with Business Analysts to deliver applications that meet changing requirements • Work within an agile team that includes members from various teams to develop and support robust, dynamic, scalable applications to support expanding and evolving business • Maintain and customize applications information in an efficient and secure manner • Collaborate with DBAs and DevOps to ensure infrastructure requirements are ready prior to production release • Communicate status of current work with their team and provides the necessary documentation supporting their efforts • Follow application security best practices and compliance requirements • Work with SQL database and data storage technologies • Perform technical, end-user support functions as required Required Skills and Experience: • Ability to analyze needs and determine next steps • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software • Initiative to investigate and analyze requirements as opposed to simply accepting them as received • Demonstrated competency in the design, programming, and testing of web-based applications • Experience with the following: • .NET • ASP.NET Web Forms • SOAP Web Services • SQL Server • WCF Services • C# • .NET MVC Framework • SQL queries and functions • T-SQL (stored procedures) • JavaScript • HTML • 5 years of software development experience • Ability to create/understand complex SQL statements (triggers, stored procedures, SQL functions etc.) • Understanding of micro services using RESTful Web APIs, and .NET technologies • Understanding of Microsoft SDLC/ALM process, experience using the source code repository (GIT) Desired Skills and Experience: • SSIS • SSRS • MQ • AWS Technologies US Citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.
