About the job:
We are looking for a talented and creative Photographer / Content Creator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Marketing & Brand Director and working closely with the E-Commerce Manager, this role will be key in shaping the visual identity of Maya Magal across all platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong photography experience with the ability to shoot, edit and retouch, while also supporting social media and light graphic design tasks. This is a hands-on, creative role in a growing brand with plenty of opportunity to make an impact.
Key responsibilities:
Photography (core focus):
• Shoot high-quality in-house ecommerce, still life and model photography for our website and social channels.
• Retouch, crop and edit all imagery to maintain a consistent brand look and feel.
• Many photography needs will naturally overlap across website and social platforms, so while some original social-first content will be required, the role is primarily photography-led.
Social media content (supporting):
• Creating photo and iPhone video content for Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
• Plan and schedule content across channels (4x a week).
• Manage community engagement, including social inboxes.
• Produce a monthly Social Media Report.
Graphic design (occasional):
• Produce simple design work for internal and external communications (window vinyls, in-store POS, brand cards etc.)
Essential Skills:
• Proven photography experience, with strong DSLR knowledge.
• Skilled in editing and retouching (Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
• Some experience managing and/ or posting on social platforms.
• Basic graphic design skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work within brand guidelines to deliver a cohesive visual identity.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a small, fast-paced team.
• Creative eye with strong attention to detail.
• Bonus skills: Videography and video editing experience.
