Merchology seeks a Pricing & Quoting Analyst reporting to the Director of Supplier Relationships. The Pricing & Quoting Analyst plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and strategic quotes that support our fast-paced custom merch business. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations to ensure quotes and pricing are competitive, profitable, and aligned with internal policies. This role requires analytical rigor, strong systems knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Ideal candidates thrive on solving complex pricing scenarios, balancing speed with precision, and finding creative solutions that support both the customer experience and the bottom line.
A successful Pricing & Quoting Analyst will:
• Develop and deliver accurate, timely, and complex custom quotes, ensuring alignment with internal pricing policies and margin thresholds.
• Analyze key pricing inputs (supplier cost, decoration method, labor, fulfillment, and freight) to determine optimal pricing for each project.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations to align quoting strategies, business priorities, and customer expectations.
• Support RFPs, enterprise deals, and large-scale corporate opportunities by building customized pricing models and quote packages.
• Monitor quoting trends, margin performance, and conversion rates; make data-driven recommendations to optimize pricing effectiveness.
• Maintain and improve quoting tools and templates; ensure systems reflect up-to-date pricing, margin targets, and vendor costs.
• Lead of the competitive pricing review process, which involves conducting regular evaluations of our top selling products and brands to identify potential quote losses and assess our market presence providing strategic recommendations for pricing models and structures.
• Provide clear documentation and training to internal stakeholders on quoting processes, pricing policies, and tool usage.
• Ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all quoting activities.
• Participate in system enhancement projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to quoting workflows.
• Additional projects or duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (marketing, business, finance, accounting or merchandising preferred); experience considered in lieu of degree
• 2+ years experience in pricing analysis, quoting, or sales operations ideally in a B2B, eCommerce, or product driven environment
• Proficiency in tools such as Shopify, NetSuite, and HubSpot (or comparable quoting, CRM, and ERP systems)
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen; experience interpreting cost structures and setting profit-conscious prices
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communicator who thrives in cross-functional collaboration
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high volume of custom projects
• Familiarity with custom merch, promotional products, or decorated apparel is a plus
