Description Solution Engineer, Commerce Cloud Team Description Salesforce Commerce Cloud leverages a team of Solution Engineers who are responsible for pre-sales technical assistance for the sales teams and will perform technical presentations & demonstrations of our platform. The Solution Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and be able to identify all the technical and business issues to sales prospects to assure complete customer satisfaction. Role Description β€’ Understand and communicate solution messaging at both a technical and business level β€’ Provide industry expertise and guidance to clients β€’ Communicate technical solutions in a business manner β€’ Author and provide presentations both to executive-level and working-level client audiences β€’ Present standard software demonstrations β€’ Develop and present custom demonstrations based on prospective client requirements using javascript, HTML, CSS and XML. β€’ Provide solution insight paralleling the solution to client needs β€’ Guide prospective clients to the merits and strengths of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud solution β€’ Assist account executives in development of Target Account Selling strategies β€’ Remain current in industry and technology trends β€’ Document all prospective client meetings and decisions in Salesforce. β€’ Articulate market requests and needs to R&D and Marketing organizations in clear, concise manner β€’ Assist account executives in development of proposals and RFI / RFP responses β€’ Organize communications between teams and external vendors to develop solutions Basic Requirements β€’ B.S. of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree β€’ Bachelor’s Degree Required β€’ Exceptional oral and written communications skills β€’ Ability to manage multiple prospects and activities concurrently β€’ Strong and creative problem-solving and analytical skills β€’ Highly motivated, persuasive, and success driven personality β€’ Ability to lead and work as part of team β€’ eCommerce experience a strong plus β€’ In depth knowledge of the retail industry β€’ Detail-oriented β€’ 25% Travel (pending reopening) Preferred Requirements β€’ Proven track record in giving sales-oriented presentations to executive-level audiences β€’ 5+ years of sales, marketing, operations, and/or consulting experience in a software company β€’ Successful participation in sales cycles in a pre-sales/consulting role β€’ 4-year degree in a related field
