Product Manager – Finance (Payments, Ledgers & Transactions) Salary : £70,000 - £85,000 Location: Remote – UK Company Overview Our client is a growing SaaS provider in the hospitality technology space. Their platform helps hotels and resorts streamline operations, enhance guest experience, and maximise revenue through integrated tools covering reservations, ecommerce, experience management, and unified payments. Role Overview This is a key role within the Financials Product team, focusing on backend systems that power payments, transactions, and core financial operations. The successful candidate will combine strong domain expertise in payment systems (POS, PDQ, web-based checkout, EPOS integration) with a solid understanding of accounting processes, general ledgers, reconciliation, and tax reporting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our payment infrastructure not only delivers smooth transaction experiences but also integrates seamlessly with financial reporting systems, meets compliance standards, and supports hospitality-specific operational needs. Key Responsibilities • Own the product roadmap for backend payments and finance infrastructure, including EMS, EPOS, PDQ, and ecommerce checkouts. • Design and deliver end-to-end payment and settlement flows that align with accounting and tax reporting requirements. • Define and improve ledger and reconciliation processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. • Identify and prioritise enhancements to both the payments journey and financial operations capabilities. • Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Compliance, and Operations teams to translate requirements into clear deliverables. • Monitor changes in tax and accounting regulations, incorporating updates into product features and workflows. • Track and report on performance metrics such as transaction success rates, settlement timelines, reconciliation accuracy, and ledger integrity. • Stay informed on developments in embedded finance and payment technologies, assessing their potential to enhance product capability. • Act as the subject matter expert for both payments and financial operations, guiding teams across the business. Requirements • 3+ years’ experience as a Product Manager in payments, fintech, or finance-related software. • Strong understanding of both payment processing systems (POS, PDQ, ecommerce checkouts, EPOS) and financial operations (general ledger, reconciliation, settlements, tax reporting). • Familiarity with accounting workflows and integration between transactional systems and financial reporting tools. • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment. • Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including backlog management and writing user stories. • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
