Role description
Product Manager
About
We are a marketing-obsessed company that has grown to be one of the largest digital product sellers in the direct response/DTC world. We are now rolling out our first major physical product line. We have big goals to scale fast and profitably in our space, and we’re looking for that ruthlessly efficient person with meaningful real-world ecom product experience who, like us, is obsessed with winning and wants to be the person who proves themselves by taking complete ownership of our physical product division and delivering excellent, measurable results.
Here’s a little more about us - we’re genuinely not for everyone:
We love to work. Period.
We love to produce industry-leading results. We are very competitive. We love analyzing data intelligently and making data-driven decisions. We're not afraid of making mistakes. We love learning. Work is the priority in our life. We understand these traits may make us a "no fit" for many. But I know for some, I am speaking their language right now and that is the person that we are looking for.
What guides how we work:
• Accountability: We believe great outcomes come from people who take full ownership of their work.
• Clarity & Communication: We value precision, both in our thinking and how we collaborate.
• Results-Driven: Every decision is anchored in performance, not preference.
• Operational Rigor: We aim to build systems that are efficient, reliable, and built to scale.
• Continuous Improvement: We’re always learning, evolving, and looking for smarter ways to work.
Role: Product Manager - Fragrance/Pheromone Line
As the Product Manager, you are responsible for owning every element of our physical product infrastructure: from formulation and sourcing… to fulfillment and storefront experience… to financial visibility and margin optimization.
You are the bridge between the customer’s experience, our backend operations, and our profitability. You’re not just here to do tasks. You’re here to deliver outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Source and manage manufacturers, vendors, labs, and fulfillment partners
• Own formulation and R&D processes for new SKU or formulations
• Lead all negotiations on pricing, MOQ, packaging, and production timelines
• Build redundancy into vendors, forecasting, and fulfillment
• Manage Amazon and Shopify storefronts — branding, conversion, copy, reviews, compliance
• Set up reliable product forecasting and inventory systems
• Build SOPs across all product-related functions
• Ensure consistent, fast, and exceptional fulfillment + unboxing experience
• Monitor and improve internal margins and product-level profitability
• Maintain centralized financial reporting related to product costs, margins, COGS, and unit economics
• Collaborate closely with marketing and leadership on launch timing, product strategy, and CX feedback loops
The Results You’re Accountable For:
• Customers get the product when they expect it — and love it enough to buy again
• Margins are excellent, stable, and protected by redundancy
• Our Amazon and Shopify storefronts follow top DTC branding practices. Product reviews, storefront UX, and retention metrics are best in class.
• 24-hour reliable, accurate, centralized financial reporting
• You make product ops invisible — everything “just works”
Candidate Qualities
Some must-have qualities we’re looking for:
• At least 3–5+ years of experience in physical ecomm product management, ideally in DTC or beauty/fragrance/skincare/supplements
• You’ve launched multiple physical products and managed them through the full lifecycle (formulation, sourcing, launch, delivery, retention)
• You’re highly rational and strategic — you think in systems, not tasks
• You’re hungry to prove yourself — you don’t want a cushy job, you want to win
• You care about delivering real-world results, not perception or politics
• You’re extremely competitive — you don’t like to win, you have to win.
• You communicate with efficiency, clarity, and intent
• You have experience with direct response marketing, and you know how ops supports conversions
• You’re coachable, open to feedback, and move fast
• You operate with integrity — no cutting corners, no faking what you don’t know
Tech Stack:
• Shopify
• Amazon Seller Central
• Google Sheets
• Slack
• Asana
• 3PL dashboards
• Freight/SCM platforms (nice to have)
Compensation, Availability & Bonuses
• Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually. Results based performance incentives over time.
• Full-time role, 100% remote, contractor, primarily working in ET.
