Responsibilities About the team The TikTok E-Commerce Search function is a global team which aims to provide access to the world's information and creative content with a simple click. To our search engine, evaluation is important as it helps assess the quality of search results, thereby improving user search experience. As an E-commerce search evaluation Product Manager, you will be responsible for providing independent, objective, and accurate evaluation viewpoints by defining what's the best experience for our users and implementing an evaluation plan tailored to the US market. Your insights combined with various evaluation and research data will help the entire product development team continuously understand users' needs and optimize the product. Daily work of the team covers user research, data analysis, project management and other related areas. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for improving TikTok E-commerce search user experience through research for different product functions, content, and algorithm strategies 1. Provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams on the product's future iterations based on experience evaluation, data analysis, market research and user research 1. Collaborate with the international operations team to facilitate the implementation of the research and evaluation plans, especially ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the deliverables 1. Overseeing and guiding the team members' work, supporting their professional growth, mentoring individuals, and conducting performance reviews. 1. Allocating and managing team resources effectively to meet project and organizational goals. Ensuring that the team follows best practices, workflows, and processes, driving continuous improvements to enhance efficiency. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English is required to collaborate with global stakeholders. - 3 or more years of experience with search products / engines, and knowledge of basic research and evaluation methodologies. - Possesses strong logical thinking, deep user empathy and acumen in data analysis. - Capable of independently developing project plans, overseeing the execution, and minimizing project risks. Ensure resource availability and allocation to deliver projects on time. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills and organizational skills, including attention to details and multi-tasking skills. - 1 or more years of experience with e-commerce specific search products / engines. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
