Role description

The Role: Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the Programme Manager takes responsibility for the planning execution and delivery of the two related strategic initiatives of eCommerce re-platforming and CRM to ensure successful programme delivery in terms of timescale, cost, and scope. The Programme Manager will co-ordinate several cross-functional teams managing the resources of both internal and external teams to ensure successful programme outcomes that align with strategic objectives. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract and Hybrid Working will apply - minimum 3 days per week in the office and maximum 2 days per week working from home. The successful candidate will ideally join the business in October. Duties and Responsibilities: - Define programme goals, success metrics and benefits realisation plans - Develop programme roadmaps and ensure they align with organisational objectives. - Ensure correct prioritisation of initiatives through stakeholder engagement and allocate resources effectively. - Plan and schedule programme deliverables, goals and milestones. - Oversee project managers and teams, providing guidance and removing obstacles - Lead multiple projects within the programme, ensuring interdependencies of tasks and resources are managed. - Manage timelines, budgets, risks and issues and see these - Report and escalate to management as needed. - Efficiently identify and solve programme issues. - Prepare and deliver regular status updates, reports and presentations. - Be the primary contact point for Stakeholders. - Communicate clearly and regularly with Stakeholders, Executives and team members. - Foster strong collaborative relationships with Stakeholders, whilst managing their needs and expectations. - Define and schedule resources for project/programme implementation, ensuring resource availability and allocation. - Establish and maintain programme governance structures and comply with organisational policies, quality standards and regulations. - Conduct programme reviews, post-implementation evaluations and lesson learned sessions. - Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of the programme. - Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in programme scope, schedules and costs. - Measure programme performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. - Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. - Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. - Mentor and guide junior team members and cross-functional teams. Skills and Experience Required: - Strong leadership and team management skills - PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 Certification or equivalent qualification desirable. - Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in Engineering or Technology related field. - Previous experience of working in Senior Project Management and/or IT Management with evidence of successful deployment of projects. - Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans. - Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities. - Proven ability in scheduling and budgeting. - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders both internally and externally. - Works cooperatively and effectively with others in a team to achieve shared objectives. - Is proactive in the approach to work and can successfully manage own priorities and workload.
