Position Description The Property and Casualty Project Manager will have responsibility for the successful implementation, integration, and customization of eCommerce applications for Eagle Creek’s customers from project initiation to full customer production rollout. In this capacity you will be an expert in Property and Casualty applications functionality, technology, and implementation in order to provide your accounts and team with a combination of pre-sales activities, technical consulting, project management, training, and mentoring. Pre-Sales Responsibilities β€’ Plan all aspects of project from initial team size, resources required for on-site and off-site from initial phase through implementation and support β€’ Independently document and sign off on overall project plan, including next/ongoing plan phases β€’ Coordinate with Colleagues/Management to ensure the appropriate resources are available and leveraged onto the engagements β€’ Assist with writing RFP’s, SOW’s and Project Plans Functional Responsibilities β€’ Proven strong Organization, Planning, Risk Analysis, Controlling, Negotiation, and Communication (verbal/written) skills required β€’ Maintain open communication with client including calling Summit Meetings and resolving/ escalating conflict β€’ Strong leadership qualities and ability to know each lead role involved in project β€’ Strong management qualities including ability to motivate while managing to the project plan β€’ Establish and define the theoretical basis and principles for estimating project effort and duration, while analyzing customer needs and recommending appropriate technical solutions β€’ Take meticulous notes and distribute reports, so as to thoroughly articulate issues and to escalate resolutions β€’ Maintain the Project schedule in coordination with various workgroups using project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Mingle, AgileZen) β€’ Provide feedback to HR on performance and project contribution by team members for the Annual Review process Technical Responsibilities β€’ Plan, control, and coordinate the development of projects from the initial definition phase, taking the concepts and following through to a successful deployment β€’ Consult with internal and external/client Architects, Leads to clearly determine the roles and requirements of each consultant involved in the project/solution, while reviewing technical work for accuracy β€’ Expertise in using MS Project with experience in resourcing loading/leveling, calendaring, etc. Delivery Responsibilities β€’ Manage and lead multiple teams on implementations of 10+ people with both onsite and offsite delivery models/components β€’ Identify major milestones and establish critical path within the project plan while monitoring and reporting progress toward milestones on a daily or weekly basis as required β€’ Serve as customer liaison on project facilitating daily and weekly project review meetings with clients and team members β€’ Monitor and adjust project schedules as needed to ensure timely delivery in line with client expectations, ensuring that tight schedules are met β€’ Mitigate technical risks and define the strategy for doing so β€’ Escalate issues or concerns to Eagle Creek management β€’ Foster and maintain good relationships with IT colleagues, both internal and external β€’ Seek out and champion new development, configuration and implementation efforts β€’ Proficiency in working with Project Center resources in addition it on/offshore resources Position Requirements β€’ 10+ years of consulting experience within the IT industry β€’ 5+ years of project management experience implementing Property and Casualty insurance applications with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously β€’ Experience managing/leading multiple teams on implementations of 10+ people with both onsite and offsite delivery models/components β€’ Strong communication skills, with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms via presentations and written forms β€’ Understanding of Delivery and Project Management frameworks, methodologies and practices (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) β€’ Previous development and programming experience desired but not required β€’ SCRUM training or certification highly desired β€’ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
