Role description
Job Title: Website Analytics Manager
Location: Remote (Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM EST)
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours/week
Remote: Monday - Friday; 9-5
SCOPE OF SERVICES
• The Website Analytics Manager will work with the Digital Service team to understand analytics requirements, define tags to correctly capture data, oversee site analytics implementation and analyze resulting data for across more than 500 digital properties.
• The Website Analytics Manager will be involved in agency stakeholder meetings, and present deliverables in team meetings.
TASKS:
• Define best practice approaches for analyzing online user behavior, configuring web analytics technology, and for interpreting data.
• Determine objectives, methods and tools needed for iterative testing and optimization.
• Write analytics technical and functional requirements for public-facing digital properties.
• Create customized JavaScript or JSON code as needed for site analytics.
• Lead regular tagging audits, providing best practices, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy.
• Provide site analytics technical expertise, estimates, and recommendations to the development lead and/or project manager.
• Communicate risks and issues in a clear and timely manner.
• Run regularly scheduled web analytics reports that contribute meaningful analysis and actionable insights to improve user experience.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting for internal clients as requested.
• Create documentation such as data dictionaries and analytics requirements.
Mandatory Qualifications
• 8+ years of reporting and technical experience in website analytics.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Google Analytics (GA360, GA4) and Tag Management Systems (GTM, Tealium).
• 4–5+ years managing enterprise-class web analytics platforms and migrations.
• Proficiency with custom reports, advanced segments, complex goals, and delivering insights.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with ability to merge disparate data sets.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with leadership and technical experts.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
• At least 8 years of experience in digital software development.
• Experience with A/B testing and multivariate testing for UX optimization.
• Passion for leveraging data to improve user experience.
