Role: Senior .NET Engineer (eCommerce Focus)
Location: Remote (preference for EST overlap)
Engagement: Contract – 5 months (through end of year, strong extension potential)

Our client is a national leader in smart mobility and digital parking solutions, operating in 2,000+ locations across North America. They are investing heavily in modernizing digital platforms, including In Park Now, a next-gen eCommerce parking and shopping platform. This is a high-visibility initiative where you’ll work with modern .NET technologies, cloud platforms, and complex payment integrations.
Project Overview
You will join a critical modernization and go-live effort for In Park Now, focusing on backend/API ownership and third-party integration support. The UI is being delivered by a vendor; your role is to stabilize and enhance backend systems to meet aggressive go-live deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
• Rewrite and stabilize backend APIs in .NET 8
• Integrate and optimize payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, etc.)
• Enhance shopping cart, checkout, and order management flows
• Improve the pricing engine and transaction reliability
• Ensure cloud-agnostic architecture decisions across Azure & AWS
• Troubleshoot and resolve vendor integration issues as technical liaison
• Support high-stakes deadlines and public-facing go-live deliverables
Tech Stack
• Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET 4.x → .NET 6/7/8, MVC, REST APIs
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure, AWS, Docker, Azure DevOps, CI/CD
• Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Entity Framework
• Tools: Visual Studio, Jira, Confluence
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of hands-on .NET engineering experience
• Strong background in API development and system integrations
• Proven experience with eCommerce platforms and payment gateway integrations
• Familiarity with PCI compliance standards
• Experience with SQL Server & PostgreSQL
• Strong communication skills for cross-team/vendor collaboration
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven projects
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with .NET 8 migration or modernization projects
• Prior work on pricing engines, shopping carts, or order management
• Experience in Azure & AWS hybrid architectures
• Previous involvement in large-scale go-live projects
