Role description
Company: Niantic Seal About Us More than just a leading distributor of premium sealing products, Niantic is also a highly integrated customer resource combining a full complement of application and design expertise with extensive materials knowledge. This includes Niantic’s custom fabrication capabilities, covering a broad range of engineered seals, flash/die cut gaskets / molded rubber parts and specialty hose assemblies. Summary/Objective β€’ Provide sales, service, and technical support for distributors and end users in the Southeast territories. β€’ Develop and implement territory sales strategies and foster relationships with existing and new customers. β€’ Responsible for meeting sales and expense budget objectives. β€’ Direct the tactical execution of conceptual sales strategies and implementation of contractual agreements. β€’ Develop, train, and grow the distribution base in the Southeast Territory. Essential Functions β€’ Support all outside customer sales processes/inquiries while working with the Niantic internal sales and service groups across several industries. β€’ Develop industry expertise in the designated assigned market through research and market analysis (market assignment will be advised in the next 30 days). β€’ Maximize sales potential in assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company’s products and services, as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses. β€’ Foster and develop quality relationships with new customer accounts to grow the customer base (a review of house accounts and dormant accounts will be assigned). β€’ Contact customers via telephone, correspondence, or in person by traveling as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company. β€’ Create customized proposals to meet specific customer requirements efficiently. β€’ Manage profit margins within company guidelines. β€’ Receive and resolve customer requests in a timely manner. β€’ Utilize company leads to expand the current customer base and follow up on all leads promptly. β€’ Maintain updated, organized files on all accounts in the assigned territory. β€’ Complete and submit daily sales reports on account activity, providing monthly documentation of outstanding proposals, secured proposals, and lost proposals. β€’ Provide input to Marketing for demand generation activities to build a pipeline with an emphasis on new customers and geographic expansion. β€’ Adopt and use the CRM tool; become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the sales team’s buy-in for budget/quota attainment. β€’ Support e-commerce build-out as we develop our go-to-market launch. Additional responsibilities may be requested to support this initiative. Competencies β€’ Excellent interpersonal and selling skills. β€’ Excellent presentation and communication skills. β€’ Strong technical knowledge of company products (or capable of developing it). β€’ Strong customer service skills. β€’ Ability to communicate effectively at management and hourly maintenance levels. β€’ Knowledge of manufacturing process flow. β€’ Ability to work under pressure and manage rapidly changing priorities.
