Retail Planner
Greater Boston Area (Hybrid – In Natick office & Remote)
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Retail Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong proficiency in Excel. This role is responsible for driving retail business performance through strategic sales and inventory management. The Retail Planner will play a key role in optimizing sales, forecasting inventory needs, and identifying opportunities to maximize growth.
This position offers high visibility and exposure to senior leadership, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities
Retail & Ecommerce Omni-Channel Planning:
• Partner with Retail Management to forecast sales and inventory at the brand, division, and store levels.
• Analyze sales trends and on-order inventory to adjust forecasts and optimize stock levels.
• Plan and manage receipt flow to support sales projections and maintain appropriate model stock levels.
• Leverage insights on geographic and store performance to develop effective inventory strategies.
• Identify and address opportunities within brands, size divisions, and assortments down to the store level.
• Provide strategic guidance to retail store teams to ensure appropriate inventory flow and product depth.
• Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on retail and ecommerce performance.
• Assess historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities, adjusting plans accordingly.
• Create and implement allocation strategies aligned with merchandise plans and store inventory needs.
• Set daily sales goals by location to guide store teams effectively.
Merchandise Planning
• Translate high-level financial and business objectives into detailed merchandise and category plans.
• Collaborate with Merchants to develop data-driven sales and assortment plans based on brand, season, and category performance.
• Provide buy guidelines that align with assortment and receipt strategies.
• Lead key business review and hindsight meetings, identifying risks and opportunities to drive future growth.
• Participate in line-building processes, sharing valuable insights based on past performance and market trends.
Additional Responsibilities
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of planning processes and tools.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, operations, warehouse, and store teams.
• Take on special projects as assigned to support business objectives.

• Knowledge of Oracle platforms is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
