About The Role
We’re seeking a results-driven Sales Development Manager to convert inbound online leads and cultivate high-value trade-pro accounts — including designers, builders, and architects — into repeat revenue. This role blends virtual design consultations with strategic in-person outreach to grow brand engagement and drive deeper penetration of Reggio Register, Madelyn Carter, and Baseboarders product lines. Using CRM and marketing automation tools, you’ll prioritize outreach, protect specifications, and upsell effectively. Success is measured by quarterly growth in revenue, trade-pro activations, and brand-share gains.
This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role ideal for a motivated, design-savvy individual who thrives in a professional sales environment and is passionate about delivering premium solutions. Vent Covers Unlimited is a one-stop shop for all grilles and vent covers, with specific emphasis on own brand solutions: Madelyn Carter, Reggio Registers, and Baseboarders—all known for high-quality architectural and HVAC solutions.
• Location: Remote. Up to 10% travel. (Required to work from any location within the USA.)
• Reports to: Sales Manager
• Total Compensation: Target compensation of $145,000 annually. (Includes base salary PLUS UNCAPPED Sales Commission)
• Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000. (Experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range)
What You’ll Do
• Convert inbound web leads and develop trade-pro accounts (designers, builders, architects) into high-value, repeat customers.
• Conduct virtual design consultations and strategic in-person engagements such as lunch-and-learns and site visits.
• Champion our owned brands—Reggio Register, Madelyn Carter, and Baseboarders—by driving brand-mix penetration across accounts.
• Leverage CRM and marketing automation insights to prioritize outreach, protect premium specs, and identify upsell opportunities.
• Own your territory's full sales cycle—from initial lead to repeat revenue—with a focus on digital channels and direct-to-pro relationships.
• Consistently meet or exceed quarterly growth goals tied to revenue, trade-pro activations, and brand-share expansion.
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of success selling premium building finishes or design-led products without reliance on traditional showroom or dealer networks.
• Proven ability to close directly with interior designers, custom builders, architects, HVAC pros, and remodelers via phone, video, and field visits.
• Experience owning a sales territory or vertical, converting digital leads into large-ticket orders, and growing spec volume in repeat accounts.
• Excellent product intuition—familiar with decorative hardware, custom millwork, high-end HVAC finishes, or similar design-driven SKUs.
• Fluent in digital sales tools—comfortable with video demos, CRM systems, screen sharing, and e-commerce platforms.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a design vocabulary, data-driven approach, and comfort operating independently in a high-expectation culture.
• Willingness to travel 10% for key client meetings, builder/designer events, and select trade shows.
