Role description
Cuttable is a fast-growing ad tech startup that has raised a $10m seed round, one of the largest in Australian history, backed by Square Peg, the same investors who supported Canva and other global successes. Our founders have deep experience scaling internationally, including Sam Kroonenburg, who grew his last company, A Cloud Guru, to 600 staff, the majority based in the US, before a successful exit for $2b. We are now bringing our proven high-touch, trial-to-conversion go-to-market motion to the US, backed by strong product-market demand and a clear plan to capitalise on the upcoming retail season. You will be part of our first US sales pod alongside an Account Executive, working closely with one of our founders who will be in-market with you to set up our US presence, activate our network, and accelerate your ramp-up. The SDR and AE pod model, with founders in-market, means you will have direct mentorship, a clear playbook to execute, and the opportunity to shape our first US customer stories. As our first US SDR, you will be the front line of our sales motion. You will qualify inbound leads, run targeted outbound campaigns, and support the AE to ensure every trial brand gets set up for success. You will be embedded with your AE partner in the same city, working side by side to turn high-intent leads into happy, long-term customers. Who are you? • Self-motivated and results-driven -delivers without constant oversight • Resilient and hard-working, with a bias for action over perfection • Pragmatic problem-solver who spots issues early and takes decisive action • Adaptable, positive, and comfortable working through ambiguity • Curious learner who embraces feedback and continuous improvement • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-moving, early-stage environment Key Responsibilities • Qualify inbound leads and set high-quality meetings for the AE • Run targeted outbound outreach to high-fit ecommerce D2C brands • Prepare customer accounts before the demo call, including brand kit setup, font checks, sourcing imagery if required, and product page setup, so the AE can deliver a high-impact trial experience • Support trial setup, including account configuration and initial creative uploads • Collaborate with the AE on account strategy and trial-to-paid conversion tactics • Track lead engagement and re-engage prospects who stall during onboarding • Capture and share customer feedback with the product and marketing teams to improve trial outcomes Qualifications • 1–2 years in an SDR, BDR, or inside sales role, ideally in SMB/mid-market SaaS • Experience with outbound prospecting and lead qualification (preferably in the ecommerce or marketing technology space) • Comfortable managing a high volume of outreach while maintaining quality conversations • Familiarity with sales tech stack including HubSpot CRM or similar • Strong written and verbal communication skills How we work • Hybrid & flexible • In Australia, we're on Chapel St in South Yarra, Melbourne (great coffee, even better food, trains and trams everywhere).
