Role description
TROVE by Studio Duggan, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our friendly, fast paced and rapidly growing retail company. Salary: Based on experience Experience: 3+ years in a similar role Based: In our Notting Hill Showroom, Monday - Friday (with occasional Saturday covers) Reporting to: Tiffany Duggan Start Date: September 2025 About Us: TROVE, is a homewares, furniture and lifestyle brand with a Notting Hill showroom and e-commerce website, designed and curated by the Interior Design firm Studio Duggan. The collection embodies Studio Duggan signature style – with a nomadic, yet timeless sensibility and an emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and the never ending search for the extraordinary and the beautiful. The Role: We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and confident team player to join our fast paced, small and friendly team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in a similar role, be able to work independently, enjoy developing new processes, offer exemplary customer service, remain calm under pressure and enjoy the challenge of a dynamic company with big ambitions for the future. You will be working closely with the Managing Director, the Products Manager and Sales & Design Assistant. Key Responsibilities Include: The Sales Manager is responsible for managing client communications across the sales experience, recording the closure of a sale, placing the order with the production team, and updating the client on the expected arrival of their order throughout the process as advised by the product team. The Sales manager drives outreaching and sales strategy whilst maintaining and growing existing client relationships across both trade and retail clientele. Sales: β€’ Overseeing that the showroom is well presented at all times with the help of the Sales team. β€’ Ensuring the sales inbox is being managed and all national and international sales enquiries are answered swiftly or acknowledged with further information required. Stepping in as needed to manage direct client enquiries and escalated orders. (certainly within 24 hrs during business hours, but ideally within 2 hours). β€’ Obtaining delivery quotes and issuing invoices for international enquiries. β€’ Overseeing the Sales and Design Assistant re the sending out of Customer samples and ordering of samples. β€’ Keeping in contact with prospective Customers, and tracking potential orders via the FreshDesk & Enquiries Tracker to drive Sales proactively to the point of order. β€’ Raising Customer quotes and sales invoices and ensuring all orders are added to the system. β€’ Tracking the progress of all current orders with the Products Manager to ensure orders are being managed and on track to being delivered on time. β€’ Ensuring excellent customer service by keeping in touch with the Customer over the course of the fulfilment process to keep them up to date and manage expectations. Communicating if and when issues arise and discussing next steps with the business Director as required. β€’ Coordinating with the Products Manager to ensure Customer deliveries are arranged with our delivery partners and Suppliers and then communicating this to the Customer. β€’ Coordinating with the Products Manager and Director on stock levels and enquiry levels. β€’ Working with the Products Manager & Head of Creative and external web developers to keep the website up to date and highlighting larger e-commerce functions/projects with the Director to ensure the website remains current and consideration can be taken for longer lead projects. β€’ Managing and screening trade account enquiries with the assistance of the Sales & Design Assistant. β€’ Building and maintaining strong and genuine relationships with potential and existing clients β€’ Driving sales growth via outreach and proactively seeking new Customers via new avenues aligned with the Trove brand - trade partners, collaborations, events, trade fairs, trade comms, look book send outs, new product send outs, newsletter planning. β€’ Arranging and hosting visits and welcome breakfasts, alongside making visits (approximately fortnightly) with Interior Design Studios to introduce new products and build relationships. β€’ Researching new sales avenues and nurturing any new trade partner relationships - acting as the main point of contact for any international trade partners β€’ Suggesting and implementing any process improvements to make the Sales process more efficient where required. Marketing: β€’ Overall responsibility for the planning of the Marketing Calendar - arranging and leading regular meetings with the Director and Products Manager to review upcoming actions. β€’ Overseeing the Sales & Design Assistant in managing the Instagram account and ensuring DMs are answered. β€’ Overseeing external digital marketing agency / SEO / Paid Ad’s β€’ Scheduling and sending out newsletters and overseeing content creation from the Sales & Design Assistant / external digital creators Reporting: β€’ Assisting the bookkeeper with reconciliations when required. β€’ Setting Sales targets, reporting and monitoring Sales performance against targets and monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to the Managing Director, reporting best and least selling products to the Products Manager. β€’ Collating monthly sales reports and leading monthly Sales Meetings. β€’ Collating Quarterly sales reports and contributing to the Quarterly Trove Meeting with Sales performance. β€’ Submitting any upcoming Non-Sales related costs for the Studio’s Cashflow forecasting. Key Skills: β€’ 3+ years similar experience working with a high end brand β€’ Experience using an Inventory Management System, CIN 7 or similar β€’ A love and appreciation of Interiors, furniture, design and detail. β€’ The ability to manage workload within a busy and fast paced environment. β€’ The ability to remain calm under pressure and have excellent organisational and communication skills. β€’ Mathematically confident, working with margins and projections β€’ Be knowledgable and proactive when improving systems and processes β€’ Apple Mac and Excel proficient β€’ Experience with Estimac software, WooCommerce and CRM operation an advantage but not a requirement To Apply: Please send a copy of your CV along with a cover letter explaining why you think you would be great for the role to: careers@thetrove.co.uk We look forward to hearing from you!
