Salesforce Developer – London (Retail Industry Focus)Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role in London for a Salesforce Developer at Dion Tech's client with a special emphasis on supporting retail industry clients. The Salesforce Developer will: • Develop and customize Salesforce solutions, including Visualforce Pages and Lightning Web Components. • Work closely with retail business stakeholders to understand operational processes (e.g., point-of-sale, inventory, customer loyalty programs) and translate them into technical requirements. • Integrate Salesforce with retail systems such as eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), ERP, and payment gateways. • Optimize Salesforce Commerce Cloud or related modules to enhance omnichannel retail experiences. • Administer and configure Salesforce to meet the dynamic needs of retail sales, marketing, and customer service teams. • Maintain and upgrade Salesforce applications; ensure data accuracy and compliance with retail industry regulations. • Lead automation and workflow improvements to streamline in-store and online retail operations. • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for retailers. Qualifications • Experience customizing Salesforce for retail environments, with knowledge of retail sales, CRM processes, digital commerce, and inventory management. • Visualforce Pages and Salesforce.com development skills. • Lightning Web Components (LWC) knowledge. • Salesforce Administration expertise. • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C/B2B), Retail Execution, or related modules is highly desirable. • Hands-on experience in API integration with retail systems (e.g., eCommerce, ERP, Point-of-Sale solutions). • Familiarity with core retail technology concepts: inventory tracking, product catalogs, order management, and customer loyalty. • Additional tech skills: • Apex development • RESTful and SOAP integration • JavaScript, HTML/CSS • Source control with Git • Experience with CI/CD pipelines • Understanding of data migration and ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica) • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities tailored to retail business scenarios. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer) are a plus. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with retail clients.
