Job Description As a member of the Corporate Planning team, the Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning owns the tools and supports the processes that enable the team to achieve its mission of driving alignment across the larger Merchandise Planning & Allocation team and its cross-functional partners, surfacing cross-category insight and driving the continuous evolution of the team’s capabilities. The Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning is motivated by driving efficiency and effectiveness through optimized processes and tools. In addition to owning homegrown tools, the Senior Analyst, Corporate Planning will also be the business owner of the impending AI-enabled integrated assortment and planning system. This is a hybrid role; we work on site 4 days and remotely 1 day, weekly. Responsibilities • Align Category Planning and Merchants with company goals through reporting and tools for coordination across teams (Finance, Merchandising, Sourcing, eCommerce, etc.) • Create top-down guidance for Category Planning, aligning with financial goals and trends while reconciling with bottom-up plans • Generate cross-category insights to drive business growth • Manage inventory levels and receipts with Finance • Develop inventory forecasts for Sourcing • Streamline and execute Planning processes, including outlet promo generation, "Open to Buy" (Merchandise Plan Reforecast), Monthly Core Buying, and handoffs of forecasts to Sourcing • Support business reviews, post-season analysis, seasonal assortment planning, and the buying process, including prep calendar development, content, tools, and meetings to ensure alignment and execution. Provide insights to ensure accurate plans and actions • Drive continuous improvement of Planning and Allocation efficiency by standardizing methodologies and developing tools • Drive the implementation and continued development of an integrated planning system, by participating in process design sessions, performing analyses, conducting tests, leading training sessions and acting as translator/coordinator between the business users and the system Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or mathematics. • 7+ years in retail, including experience in Merchandise Planning, Corporate or Central Planning, Business Process, Merch Operations, Finance/FP&A, and/or Allocation, preferably in a vertically integrated company across Stores, eCommerce, and Wholesale. • Strong analytical and data skills with advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to adapt to new systems. • Experience with assortment optimization, price optimization and other analytical opportunities, particularly leveraging AI and other advanced analytics • Participated in a system implementation, particularly in process/tool design, testing and rollout pilot • Strong business acumen, able to connect insights across categories/functions and identify business-driving opportunities. • Proven drive for process improvement and ability to design and execute solutions with cross-functional teams. • Skilled in building scalable Excel tools and acting as a bridge between business and technology teams. • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and manage competing priorities About The Team Why you'll love working here: At TUMI, you’ll find a dynamic working environment, joining a community where each team member is empowered with an entrepreneurial spirit.
