Our Commerce team specialises in designing, developing, and optimising e-commerce solutions centered on Adobe Commerce and Shopify. Our expertise lies in architecting robust ecosystems that provide the tools and technologies needed to enable growth for our clients. We stay curious and leave no stone unturned as we aim for excellence, ensuring seamless collaboration between strategy, design, engineering, and digital marketing teams to deliver tangible results for our clients.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Developer with a backend focus on Magento (Adobe Commerce), you'll be responsible for translating client requirements into powerful technical solutions. You’ll be hands-on in developing and optimising robust e-commerce platforms, integrating best-of-breed technologies, plugins, and apps to create a solid foundation for our clients’ growth.
You’ll play a key role in the project lifecycle, from planning and development to delivery and support. You'll also have plenty of opportunities to learn and upskill with support from experienced team members across the business, including project managers, account managers, and our commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Development & Implementation: You'll be responsible for the development and maintenance of high-quality code for our e-commerce platforms, with a focus on Magento (Adobe Commerce).
• Technical Solutions: You'll devise technically feasible and efficient solutions, contributing your expertise from the proposal stage through to project completion.
• Troubleshooting: You'll collaborate with your team to troubleshoot and solve complex technical challenges, ensuring projects stay on track.
• Collaboration: You'll work closely with project managers and other internal teams to successfully deliver the projects you're leading on.
• Documentation: You’ll produce clear, client-facing training materials and technical documentation.
What experience you need to be successful
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a mix of technical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proven expertise in developing, maintaining, and optimising e-commerce solutions with Adobe Commerce (Magento), with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience with Shopify is a bonus.
• A strong understanding of web services (REST/SOAP) and high proficiency in PHP.
• Familiarity with headless commerce solutions like HYVA (Adobe Commerce) or Hydrogen (Shopify) is useful but not essential.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams, simplifying technical concepts and fostering collaborative discussions.
• Experience working in an agency environment, balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and client expectations with professionalism and adaptability.
• A proactive mindset with a genuine hunger to learn and stay up-to-date with trends and innovations in the e-commerce community.
