Overview
Sr Director, Digital & Social Creative candidate innately understands luxury positioning and can balance strong creative vision, with creative execution and leadership skills. This individual will have experience working with a global luxury brand or leading agency in the luxury or similar industries.
With an understanding of foundational brand pillars, marketing objectives, and the ability to translate integrated strategy into creative execution, the Sr Director, Digital & Social Creative, is responsible for creating compelling, targeted, and relevant creative content. The content needs to entertaining to attract attention (surprise), inspire, and educate, and needs to leverage best practices per platform to drive consumer engagement across all digital touchpoints (site, social and digital media) and conversion on site.
Sr Director, Digital & Social Creative should have a deep and innate understating of the digital ecosystem and platforms in all its iterations and be inspired by the possibilities that emerge from collaboration between storytelling, design and technology. The Sr Director, Digital & Social Creative works in partnership with e-commerce, merchandising and marketing teams to ensure that the work is part of a 360 & compelling integrated program and is strategically aligned with corporate goals. This results in an integrated strategy across digital channels (site, social & media) with the highest aesthetic standards.
Responsibilities
• Lead digital design direction for:
• Site & Email: DavidYurman.com / WS accounts (select)
• Digital Advertising: video, display etc.
• Social: organic handles and paid advertising assets (note: develop content ideas & creative strategy for all social media channels in close partnership with Social Media Marketing team.)
• Focus on delivering:
• Seasonal Social Campaigns
• Brand Storytelling: Inspiration, Heritage, Craftsmanship
• High Traffic Moment Social Campaigns (e.g., Mother’s Day, Holiday)
• Refreshes (e.g., always on programming, site experiencers / enhancements)
• Site: Lead seasonal, HTM, refresh updates (detailed above) w/ site concept to wireframe / UX, design and layout, including appropriate distribution channels and platforms. Create intuitive, engaging and highly shoppable design that follows best in class UX/UI practices to execute a world-class multi-channel experience
• Digital Advertising: In collaboration with Media team, oversee and continuously elevate digital creative concepts, layouts & design to maximize media placement and ensure consistency.
• Partner with Content Studio to optimize e-commerce guidelines and PDP enhancements as well as creative content to spec for site and emails
• Concept & Art Direct relevant digital shoots for site, social, digital advertising and emails.
• Oversee projects from concept development through delivery in collaboration with e-commerce, merchandising, marketing & copy departments to ensure cohesive 360 seasonal execution whilst maintaining creative integrity.
• Managing digital and social design team daily workflows and partner with Project Managers to ensure timely execution of projects.
• Partner with the offline creative team under the leadership of the Senior Creative Director to ensure cohesive seasonal narratives and expression across all creative touchpoints of the brand.
• Employ resourceful, creative thinking and an ability to anticipate business needs with the expectation to work 5+ months in advance of site deployment.
• Identify gaps in current programming and initiatives and offer recommendations on new content
• Remain current on competitor activity and emerging trends in digital advertising, branded entertainment and technology, to bring consistently fresh thinking and “state of the art” innovations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 8+ years of designing in the digital space & 5+ years of on-set experience
• Prior experience in Founder-led organizations is a plus
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented, efficient, organized, self-starter, highly productive and collaborative approach to work.
• Adaptability, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new processes and requirements
• Exceptional user interface designs and concepts
• Expert knowledge of typography, color, usability, layout, production, and other design principles
• Ability to balance creative and conceptual thinking with sensitivity to user-centric design and experience whilst considering online marketing best practices
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team
• Solid understanding of Social & Digital Media including strategy and implementation across platforms
• Technical expertise – thought leader in digital design. Expert knowledge of web technology and how it relates to design. Understating of HTML/CSS, CMS systems, and tech infrastructure capabilities
• Superior knowledge and skills with Adobe CS Suite.
• Detail oriented, efficient, organized, self-starter, highly productive and collaborative approach to work
• Must have FIGMA experience
• Monday.com – Project Management Tool experience preferred’
