Role description
What You'll Do
We're seeking an experienced Digital Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of our eCommerce capabilities. This role supports our direct-to-consumer segment focused on developing self-directed web experiences that make it easy for customers to research and open retirement related accounts online.
You’ll bring curiosity, creativity, and innovative thinking to develop solutions that drive business and customer outcomes. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love unlocking team potential, and are energized by ambiguity and invention, this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and drive the product strategy for business and eCommerce platforms that support retirement financial products (e.g., financial planning, savings, retirement accounts, etc.)
• Manage product lifecycle from discovery to delivery of new capabilities as well as on-going optimization of those digital experiences.
• Lead digital experience enhancements across acquisition funnels and onboarding journeys.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI, Engineering, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Leverage customer insights, analytics, and testing to prioritize features, optimize conversion and drive business outcomes.
• Ensure digital products align with business goals, regulatory standards, and customer needs.
• Develop and maintain clear product roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as product SME for D2C channels, including web and eCommerce platforms.
Who You Are
• 8+ years of business, technology, or product management experience, preferably in retirement services, financial services, or eCommerce.
• Proven success in delivering digital consumer products in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of direct-to-consumer acquisition funnels and digital best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in driving business outcomes through experimentation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, product roadmapping, and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA, Aha!).
• Data-driven mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics, PowerBI, Fullstory, or ContentSquare.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder expectations in a product environment.
• Demonstrated success in both discovery and delivery against product outcomes across multiple teams.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment, in multiple teams/functional areas/organizations.
• Demonstrated success bringing together customer, user, or partner data and insights to make decisions in a product environment.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with retirement-focused products (IRAs, 401(k) rollovers, annuities).
• Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization strategies, and eCommerce UX best practices.
• Background working in financial technology (fintech) or traditional financial services with a D2C digital channel.
