The Role: Cast & Crew is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Creative Services division, which includes our marketplace brands Backstage, FilmFreeway, Mandy, StarNow, ShareGrid, and Voice123. In this role, you’ll be joining our fast-paced corporate finance team, who work together to uphold and grow the financial performance of our family of brands. While you will primarily be supporting Backstage and our other marketplace subsidiaries, you will have the opportunity to contribute to financial decision-making across our organization. We have a strong preference for candidates local to the Burbank/Los Angeles area for in-person collaboration. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be providing valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making and financial growth for our marketplace brands through advanced financial analysis, reporting, and modeling. You will be working with subscription data, identifying trends, creating complex financial models, and making recommendations to our business leaders. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and functional knowledge of financial and operational analysis tasks. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to Cast & Crew’s Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. What you’ll do: • Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess various financial scenarios and aid in strategic evaluations. • Prepare comprehensive financial analyses and materials for both internal and external reporting • Leverage advanced data analytics techniques to identify trends and provide in-depth insights for business improvement • Lead business analytics by preparing key business metrics, conducting trend analyses, and providing strategic recommendations. • Work closely with senior management on long-term forecasting and near-term budgeting processes • Oversee data scrubbing and preparation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. • Conduct in-depth profitability analysis to evaluate the performance of different business units and provide recommendations for improvement. • Present your financial insights and analysis to internal stakeholders, including senior management • Own & maintain detailed three-statement financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow Statement) to support the budgeting & forecasting processes. What we’re looking for from you: • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA and/or MBA a plus • 5+ years experience in a structured Finance environment, with a focus on financial analysis and FP&A • Experience providing financial analysis for an online marketplace or ecommerce platform required; experience with subscription-based revenue models & related marketing spend strongly preferred • Proficiency using Oracle Cloud Reporting & Planning or similar Enterprise-level financial packages required • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivots, VLookup, IF statements, etc. to support complex financial modeling and analysis. • Intellectually curious and analytically rigorous approach to financial evaluations and strategic decision-making. • Strong critical thinking skills to develop insightful financial analyses and provide valuable recommendations • Quick learner with acute attention to detail, ensuring precision in financial modeling and reporting • High energy personality with a strong work ethic and persistence to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Collaborative with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and present financial insights to senior management. • A solid understanding of GAAP accounting practices and procedures and internal controls Special Work Conditions • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
