Senior Manager of Business Operations and Insights - Vrbo
The Senior Manager of Business Operations and Insights at Vrbo will lead strategic initiatives that span multiple products, focusing on enhancing the experience for Vrbo travelers and driving business impact. This role is instrumental in bringing strategic initiatives to life by deeply understanding the customer and partner experiences, synthesizing data-driven insights, and driving collaborative planning across diverse business functions. This role will establish frameworks to prioritize initiatives that elevate Vrbo’s quality of product and service experiences through a focus on marketplace standards.

In This Role, You Will
• Strategic Project & Program Management: Scope, prioritize, and manage portfolio of strategic initiatives focused on marketplace standards including enhancing existing policies and developing new policies that allow Vrbo to deliver its differentiated value proposition. Drive execution, aligning key stakeholders to deliver projects on time by facilitating cross-functional communication, proactively managing risks, and tracking progress against clearly defined outcomes.
• Customer Insights Mining & Opportunity Identification: Lead deep-dive analysis to reveal insights, identify key pain points, and outline actionable opportunities that enhance traveler and partner experiences.
• Opportunity Sizing & Data-Driven Decision Making: Conduct rigorous analyses to assess market opportunities, size potential business impact, and evaluate trade-offs through robust financial and business modeling. Leverage data analytics and financial metrics to provide strategic guidance for leadership, inform priorities, and enable fact-based decisions.
• Strategic & Operational Planning: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Technology, Analytics, Supply, and Finance to develop comprehensive strategic and operational planning horizons (e.g., annual and 3-year roadmaps) including establishing measurable KPIs and strategic milestones.
Experience And Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA strongly preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in strategic operations, B2C ecommerce, strategy, analytics, or a related strategic role driving impactful customer and business outcomes. Marketplace travel or hospitality industry is desirable.
• Extensive experience managing complex strategic initiatives and multiple interrelated projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and measurable outcomes.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, with expertise in synthesizing complex problems into actionable solutions, delivering clear messages through excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in SQL is desired but not required.
• Proven ability to leverage data-driven insights and frameworks to drive informed decisions and influence senior leadership in achieving successful cross-functional alignment without direct authority.
• A growth mindset, curiosity, high energy, and the drive to succeed in a collaborative, dynamic environment while fostering team engagement and organizational alignment.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
