Job Overview: A Senior OMS Solutions Architect leverages expertise in Order Management Systems to design client-focused solutions that address business and technical challenges. The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills. Provide best-fit OMS architectural solutions for one or more projects; Assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. Provide OMS solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs. Collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. Contribute to a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor junior architects and other delivery team members. Responsibilities • Own and aggressively drive forward in OMS technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation • Provide OMS architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains • Lead OMS projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features • Project and solution estimation and team structure definition • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions. • Needs to be able to facilitate OMS Design Workshops • Translate business requirements into OMS capabilities and solution architecture • Drive consensus on design decisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards • Document workshop outcomes including process flows, system interactions, and integration touchpoints • Needs to be able to lead Fit-Gap Analysis • Identify functional gaps and propose workarounds, customizations, or alternative solutions • Collaborate with product owners and developers to prioritize gaps and define implementation strategies • Present findings to executive stakeholders with clear impact assessments • Architect end-to-end OMS solutions for enterprise clients, ensuring scalability and performance • Define integration strategies with ERP, CRM, WMS, and eCommerce platforms • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery to deployment • Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production. • Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks. • Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications. • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams. • Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions • Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs • Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change Qualifications • Proven experience leading OMS design workshops and conducting fit-gap analysis • Strong understanding of order lifecycle, inventory visibility, fulfillment orchestration, and reverse logistics • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, with at least 5 years in OMS platforms (e.g., Kibo, IBM Sterling, Manhattan) • Strong understanding and demonstration of AI initiatives within the OMS application • Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight. • At least 5 OMS project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) – is a MUST. • At least 5 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency • Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the OMS solution according to the design/architecture. • Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition. • Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction. • Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point. • Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices. • Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making. • Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations. • Proven track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes. • Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects. • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents. • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members. • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams. • Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills. • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects. • Experience leading internal initiatives. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Be independent and self-driven. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • Must be open to some travel. Preferred Skills and Education: • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field • Certification (OMS Platforms) The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
