Role description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
The Senior Manager, Product Marketing at Nanosonics will be the subject matter expert and primary North America contact responsible for the capital products of our ultrasound and endoscope reprocessing businesses.
The position will be responsible for protecting and expanding the base business and achieving profitable growth, while supporting the launch of our new product line.
The role requires both upstream and downstream marketing capabilities, strategic, data-driven decision making and ability to execute.

• Develops and deploys strategic multi-channel integrated marketing plans for areas of responsibility including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, plus staging and pacing of tactical marketing programs
• Acquire and apply direct knowledge of target markets and associated customers to identify customer segments and create value propositions and key messages for each segment
• Maintain knowledge of the trends within each segment: deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time
• Capable of delineating and communicating the strengths and competitive advantages of company products, services and technologies and how the application of these can assist the customer in meeting their objectives
• Actively integrates into our customer’s business world via membership to customer group functions and associations
• Ensure customers’ needs are communicated and interpreted throughout the appropriate channels
• Develop sales tools such as objection handling guides, product cheat sheets, as well as marketing materials to support sales efforts, and drive demand
• Works to streamline customer ordering options and capabilities – including channel partner integrations and e-commerce
• Develop relationships with distributors educating on our product line to maximize sales opportunities within distributor accounts
• Defines top business priorities and activities, and time to be applied to achieve; works diligently to maintain course on proactive measures and minimize reactive elements
• Build, maintain, and report out campaign metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities
• Manage assigned marketing budgets and optimize campaigns to achieve a high return on investment (ROI), and return on effort (ROE)
• Achieves all revenue, gross margin, and focus product objectives established by the Business Unit

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum five (5+) years successful product management/marketing management experience
• Preferred: (1+ years) sales experience
• Demonstrated knowledge in upstream and downstream marketing
• Product lifecycle management, and roadmap experience
• Technical and clinical knowledge and application
• Adept at working with market development managers to create customer-facing materials
• Digital eCommerce solutions and customer-facing website maintenance strongly preferred.
• Successful history collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve marketing and commercial objectives
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Business or Marketing preferred).
• MBA preferred
• Demonstrated ability to successfully sell in the infection prevention space
• Experience in infection control and risk management
• Demonstrated clinical selling and concept selling skills
• Understanding of the hospital buying process including the role of National Accounts, GPOs, IDNs and distributors
• Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task and work with ambiguity
• Proven history of exceeding sales goals
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Business or Marketing preferred). MBA preferred
• Minimum five (5+) years successful product management/marketing management experience
• Preferred: (1+ years) sales experience
