The E-commerce Risk Control team is dedicated to protect TikTok Shop from fraudulent activities and user abuses, ensuring a trustworthy and user-friendly marketplace for buyers, sellers, and creators. As a global team, we are developing and managing foundational platforms including the risk decision engine, enforcement framework, and model & graph platforms. These systems are tackling some of the highest throughput challenges across Global E-commerce. Responsibilities: - Develop and manage TikTok Shop’s risk monitoring and indicator systems to detect anomalies and implement proactive mitigation strategies. - Collaborate with business, algorithm, and product teams to design and deliver technical solutions addressing complex business risk challenges. - Conduct investigations into illicit and grey-market activities, producing high-quality risk intelligence reports and strategic insights. - Analyze U.S. market data to identify macro trends, root causes of risks, and actionable improvements to minimize exposure. - Apply advanced data analytics, statistical learning, and data mining techniques to strengthen team capabilities and drive cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Security, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. - 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with proficiency in SQL, Python, and relevant analytical tools/languages. - Proven track record in risk detection, analysis, and strategy development, with a strong understanding of risk control systems and methodologies. - Strong business judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. - Excellent cross-team communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in black/grey market risk mitigation, account security, or content safety strategy development. - Familiarity with e-commerce risk perception and mitigation mechanisms. - Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical teams, driving initiatives from problem discovery to solution implementation. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
