Senior Sales Engineer - SaaS ecommerce / retail Remote in the US | Full-Time This role requires pre and post sales experience in SaaS, specifically in retail / eCommerce A fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its go-to-market team. This company is redefining how retailers and brands connect with customers by leveraging AI, computer vision, and machine learning to enrich product catalogs with the language real consumers use when they search and shop. The platform improves discovery, increases traffic, and drives conversion by enhancing product attribution and distributing optimized data across marketing and ecommerce channels. Clients include big box retailers, specialty brands, department stores, and resale marketplaces. Responsibilities: β€’ Lead the technical evaluation phase of the sales processβ€”from early product demonstrations to structured proofs of concept. β€’ Partner with sales to develop and execute deal strategies. β€’ Deliver compelling, customized demos and technical presentations to prospects and clients. β€’ Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance in customer meetings, RFP/RFI responses, and onboarding planning. β€’ Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to deliver customer insights, scope implementations, and shape product strategy. β€’ Represent the company at webinars, trade shows, and industry events. β€’ Maintain internal documentation to support ongoing sales and onboarding processes. Qualifications: β€’ 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role within a B2B SaaS organization. β€’ Proven success supporting enterprise or mid-market sales cycles with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, E-commerce, IT, Security, Operations). β€’ Strong presentation and written communication skills. β€’ High technical aptitude and a passion for learning new technologies. β€’ Experience in ecommerce, personalization, retail merchandising, or product information management (PIM) is a plus. β€’ Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. β€’ Willingness to travel up to 10%, including potential international travel.
