SKIDATA USA is seeking a Sr. Sales Specialist with previous sales experience with enterprise technology solutions and services based in the Detroit, MI area to join our growing company.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Sales Specialist to drive new business acquisition and expand relationships with existing clients across both hardware and cloud-based digital platforms. This role will promote SKIDATA’s cutting-edge access control equipment, eCommerce solutions, mobile credentialing, analytics tools, and subscription-based software services.
The ideal candidate is a sales leader with a proven track record in both traditional B2B sales and digital transformation, capable of accelerating growth across Michigan & Ohio and supporting broader digital initiatives throughout the region. You will play a pivotal role in driving digital adoption and guiding customers as they migrate to SKIDATA’s next-generation cloud and mobile-first solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify, engage, and develop new client relationships across commercial, municipal, and mixed-use parking sectors, including property owners, developers, and REITs throughout the region.
• Convert existing customers to digital platforms, promoting eCommerce solutions, mobile access, and cloud-based services.
• Drive revenue growth through the sale of mobile payments, SaaS products, analytics platforms, and recurring software subscriptions.
• Manage pipeline activities, track customer engagement, and deliver accurate sales forecasts using CRM tools (Salesforce strongly preferred).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and implementation, to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience.
• Execute consultative, value-based selling with enterprise-level clients, understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and deal structuring to close opportunities efficiently.
• Promote and secure recurring service, maintenance, and support agreements.
• Provide guidance and share best practices with other sales reps and regional teams to support digital sales initiatives and accelerate digital adoption across the broader organization.
• Conduct market research and stay up to date on industry trends to inform sales strategy and customer targeting.
Qualifications:
• Proven ability to align customer business goals with tailored solutions across both physical infrastructure and digital platforms.
• Strong experience selling digital, mobile, or SaaS-based solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred).
• 7+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technology, access control, or digital transformation.
• Background in consultative solution selling with a track record of shortening sales cycles and driving strategic account growth.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate, mobility solutions, or parking access technologies is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations
• Valid driver’s license required.
Languages & Travel
• Fluent in English; Spanish, German, or Italian is a plus.
• Up to 25% domestic travel may be required.
