Your role within the team We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Media Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and growth of our social media presence across the pet category. This role is perfect for someone who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on creator, with a passion for pets, digital culture, and storytelling. You’ll be responsible for driving brand awareness, community engagement, and measurable business impact through innovative social campaigns. Duties and responsibilities • Develop and execute a holistic social media strategy tailored to the pet category that aligns with overall brand and business objectives. • Identify and capitalize on emerging social trends, platforms, and technologies to keep the brand at the forefront of digital engagement. • Set KPIs, track performance, and optimize campaigns to ensure measurable impact on engagement, brand affinity, and sales. • Support the creation of high-quality, platform-specific content (static, video, UGC, live, stories, etc.) that resonates with pet owners and enthusiasts. • Manage social communities and UGC amplification to build credibility and authenticity within the pet community • Collaborate with influencer/creator manager and cultivate strong relationships with the online pet-loving community through thoughtful interactions and timely responses. • Manage crisis communication and reputation management on social platforms as needed. • Work cross-functionally with Brand, Product, E-commerce, and Customer Service teams to ensure social media supports key launches, promotions, and storytelling moments. • Partner with performance marketing teams to integrate organic and paid social efforts, maximizing reach and ROI. • Leverage analytics tools to deliver insights on campaign performance, audience growth, and content effectiveness. • Translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners. • Conduct competitive and industry benchmarking to ensure the brand stays ahead in the pet space. Desired Skills and Experience • 5+ years of progressive social media management experience • Proven track record of managing social media for consumer brands. • Deep understanding of major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Pinterest) and emerging channels. • Strong creative instincts with experience briefing and collaborating with content creators and production teams. • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored to digital and social audiences. • Demonstrated ability to analyze metrics, extract insights, and pivot strategy accordingly. • Experience managing influencer partnerships and social campaigns with measurable impact. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong relationship building skills, including the ability to work with all functions and teams • Genuine ambition to succeed and resilient personality with a strong work ethic • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload effectively • Logical and proactive in their approach to work • Self-starter who thrives in team environment and autonomous working • Able to effectively influence, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders • Creative and unorthodox thinker, able to push projects forward in an unstructured environment • Ability to adapt strategies, plans and thrive in an ambiguous environment • Acts with confidence and poise • Self-motivated with a growth mindset • Results driven Local employees will be required to come into the office 3 days/ week.
