Role description
Social Media Specialist
Employment: Full Time
Location: Hybrid (3 Days a Week in Concord, MA)
Team: Marketing
About Us:
At FreshCut Paper, we’re on a mission to bring more beauty, joy, and sustainability into the world, one pop-up bouquet at a time. Our life-sized, mailable floral sculptures are designed to wow, made to last, and crafted with the planet in mind. With a carbon footprint 1/300th that of traditional flowers and nearly 5 million trees planted through our 1% for the Planet partnership, we’re proving that meaningful moments can also be mindful ones.
As a fast-growing, design-driven startup, we’re building a brand that sits at the intersection of art, emotion, and ecommerce. Our team thrives on creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering unforgettable customer experiences. We’re scrappy, strategic, and always thinking about what’s next.
About the Role:
We’re seeking a hands‑on Social Media Specialist to plan, create, and optimize social content and campaigns that grow brand awareness, deepen engagement, and foster real connection with our community. You’ll own the day‑to‑day of social — content calendars, publishing, community management, creator partnerships, and reporting — while collaborating closely with Brand, eCommerce, PR, and Creative to tell amazing stories that drive love for FreshCut Paper.
This role blends strategy with execution: you can ideate a concept in the morning, shoot and edit short‑form content in the afternoon, and report on performance by end of week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan & Run the Social Calendar: Build monthly/weekly content calendars across priority platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, Facebook), aligned to launches, seasons, and tentpoles.
• Create & Publish Content: Script, storyboard, shoot, and edit short‑form video and static assets; write on‑brand, high‑engagement copy and CTAs; ensure accessibility best practices.
• Tell Compelling Stories: Translate product and brand moments into thumb‑stopping narratives; champion UGC and community‑led storytelling.
• Influencer Program: Work with the team to source, vet, brief, and manage creators; negotiate deliverables, rates, and usage; coordinate gifting/affiliates; track content rights and FTC compliance.
• Community Management: Monitor comments/DMs, engage daily, escalate CX issues, and nurture superfans; establish response guidelines and social care workflows with CX.
• Campaign Execution: Partner with Brand/eComm to launch social campaigns that support DTC growth, retail, PR moments, and marketplace initiatives.
• Measure & Report: Own weekly/monthly reporting with clear insights and next steps. Track KPIs (reach, engagement rate, saves/shares, video completion, traffic, CTR, revenue attribution/assists, UGC volume).
• Test & Learn: A/B test hooks, formats, thumbnails, captions, and posting cadences; synthesize platform trends into actionable experiments.
• Governance & Brand Consistency: Maintain social brand guidelines, voice/tone, and content hygiene; manage asset libraries and naming conventions.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Align with Creative on look/feel, with eCommerce on traffic and conversion goals, and with PR on moments and creator/press opportunities.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years managing social for a DTC, consumer brand or agency supporting consumer brands.
• A portfolio/handle(s) demonstrating growth, engagement, and creative excellence across short‑form video and static content.
• Proficiency in short‑form video production (planning, shooting, editing) using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar; strong writing for captions and hooks.
• Fluency with platform best practices across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook; working knowledge of creator/UGC workflows.
• Experience with tools like Sprout Social, Later, Hootsuite, or Looker Studio.
• Strong project management and communication skills; comfortable juggling multiple launches and stakeholders.
• A builder’s mindset — resourceful, proactive, and excited to experiment within brand guardrails.
Why Join Us?
• Hands-on exposure to a rapidly growing business
• A fast-paced, creative, and collaborative environment
• A role with room to grow and evolve as the company scales
• Competitive benefits including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, IRA with company match and more!
How to Apply:
