Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic FMCG Trade Marketing Specialist to spearhead go-to-market execution and brand building across Modern Trade and Lower Trade channels within our Health Foods portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong FMCG marketing expertise, trade activation experience and a passion for health and wellness. This individual will plan and execute campaign calendars, drive in-store and online visibility, manage principal engagement and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class execution. A background in nutrition or health foods is a plus, but FMCG marketing and activation experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Activation
• Develop the annual brand marketing strategy and campaign calendar aligned with commercial goals and market dynamics.
• Execute brand activations and consumer engagement events in-store and in communities to drive awareness and trial.
• Conduct competitive analysis on pricing, products, and promotions and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with dietitians, HCPs, and community outreach initiatives to promote nutrition-driven messaging and healthy choices.
• Create educational content, recipes and communication material that promote health-focused consumption.
• Work with internal design and external creative teams to develop materials and concepts for Modern Trade campaigns and consumer promotions.
• Measure the performance and ROI of brand activations, refining strategies based on data insights.
Trade Marketing – Modern Trade & Lower Trade
• Own and implement trade marketing initiatives across Modern and Lower Trade channels, ensuring consistency with brand strategy and alignment with Sales Manager
• Design and execute visibility plans, consumer offers, and promotional calendars tailored to key accounts.
• Coordinate with the sales, logistics, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless in-store execution.
• Train and guide the promoter teams to drive product focus and advocacy at the point of sale in Modern Trade outlets.
• Monitor trade marketing performance by channel and account, adjusting plans to optimize execution.
• Forecast expected sales uplift tied to planned trade promotions and activations, working in tandem with sales and finance teams to set realistic and data-driven goals.
• Plan and forecast trade marketing (TM) spend by allocating A&P budgets per channel, ensuring optimized investment aligned with brand and channel priorities.
Principal & Cross-Functional Engagement
• Act as the marketing point of contact for global and regional principals, ensuring alignment on budgets, calendars, best practices, and reporting.
• Collaborate with sales manager and finance to ensure timely and cost-efficient activation execution.
• Provide detailed activity reports and insights to brand owners, including visibility performance, ROI tracking, and shopper behavior insights.
New Product Support & Nutrition Integration
• Research regulatory guidelines, category trends, and health claims to support new product onboarding.
• Conduct nutrition assessments, labeling accuracy checks, and compliance reviews in collaboration with the principal and regulatory teams.
• Deliver internal product knowledge sessions for sales and marketing teams on the nutritional and functional benefits of new SKUs.
• Partner with content teams to build nutrition-themed materials for newsletters, blogs, and awareness campaigns.
Digital & Omnichannel Coordination
• Collaborate with the digital marketing and e-commerce teams to synchronize offline and online marketing efforts.
• Ensure brand and product visibility across key online platforms, coordinating product availability, content, and media push plans.
• Track online activation performance and ensure it complements in-store efforts.
• Monitor market movements and competitor tactics regularly, providing strategic counter-recommendations to maintain competitive positioning across channels.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Nutrition, or related fields; certification in Nutrition or Dietetics is a strong plus.
• 5–10 years of experience in FMCG marketing and trade marketing within the UAE; experience with Modern Trade and Lower Trade channels is mandatory.
• Proven ability to lead GTM executions, brand campaigns, and in-store activations.
• Experience in working with principal brands, budgeting, marketing performance tracking, and cross-functional execution.
• Understanding of the health foods category or consumer health trends is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
