About the Role
We are seeking a talented and innovative User Experience Designer to join our team and lead the redesign of Komatsu’s global websites. This role is pivotal in transforming our digital presence, enhancing the online customer experience, and supporting our eCommerce expansion, technology subscriptions, and online training initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product owners, web developers, product managers, and IT teams to develop creative solutions that address customer needs and improve usability. Establishing cohesive branding and maintaining our design system within Figma are essential responsibilities, ensuring a seamless and engaging digital experience. The role requires a foundational understanding of regional business objectives to optimize user interfaces across various applications and increase online sales. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, User Interface Design, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing mobile-friendly, responsive B2B and B2C eCommerce websites
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and participating in Agile ceremonies
• Proficiency in modern web development practices, including UX best practices, responsive design, and mobile-first layouts
• Strong graphic design skills with the ability to translate wireframes into high-fidelity visual designs
• Experience conducting usability testing and applying methodologies to validate designs
• Knowledge of web front-end development, including HTML and CSS (desired)
• Experience implementing on-site personalization based on user profiles (desired)
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
Responsibilities
• Partner with product owners, product managers, marketing, and IT teams to develop and execute the organization's digital strategy and roadmap
• Support the creation and execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns, including email design and visual assets
• Conduct internal and external interviews to identify, validate, and prioritize functionality enhancements
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and digital products by driving adoption of UX standards and best practices
• Analyze user needs to create intuitive UI designs that align with product requirements and technical feasibility
• Develop wireframes, UI mockups, user flows, and prototypes to translate customer needs into engaging digital experiences
• Create graphical assets supporting UI visual designs to ensure consistency and brand cohesion
• Organize and conduct usability studies to validate designs, uncover issues, and gather user feedback for continuous improvement
• Advocate for the customer experience, representing user perspectives within the organization
• Participate in QA and user acceptance testing to ensure design integrity and functionality
