Job Title β UI/UX Designer III (E-commerce)
Workstream: Advertising
Location β Either San Jose, CA or Portland, OR or Bellevue, WA or New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days/week)
Duration β 6+ months contract (will extend)
Pay Range - $70-71 per hr. on w2
Team & Product Context
β’ Works on ads and promotional tools for sellers and buyers.
β’ Sellers include small-time resellers (e.g., sneaker sellers, golf clubs, niche products) β mostly B2C, not marketing experts.
β’ Goal is to demystify advertising and provide consumer-friendly tools that help sellers: Reach new shoppers - Move inventory faster - Increase sales velocity.
β’ Ads span Google Ads, Meta Ads, eBay Ads.
β’ Focus is on making advertising approachable, turnkey, and effective for sellers.
β’ This role is currently focused on the Store product β tools for setting up storefronts, curating merchandise, and creating shopper-facing experiences.
About the team and the role:
As a Product Designer on the Ads team, you will contribute to the future of clientβs customer experience for seller advertising and promotion, working side-by-side with other cross-functional contributors to improve and evolve how sellers promote their listings and storefronts both on and off client website. We will rely on you to form important, collaborative relationships with your product and engineering teammates, participating in and contributing to the teamβs design thinking and product discovery as you all create innovative and intuitive solutions for our customers.
The Advertising team is one part of a larger e2e seller experience design group focused on both C2C and B2C sellers on the marketplace. This Product Designer role reports to the Senior Manager, Product Design of Advertising.
What you will bring:
β’ BS degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications or equivalent experience and +5 years of professional experience in Product Design.
β’ Compelling portfolio demonstrating a broad range of product design work across web-based applications, consumer experiences, and native mobile applications
β’ Experience in product design for end-to-end user-experiences and a strong understanding of user-centered design processes with agile, cross-functional teams
β’ Ability to synthesize together industry trends, internal and third-party research, team insights, business priorities, and partner feedback into practical and compelling user-experience solutions.
β’ Hand-on experience in zero-to-one, new product and concept development, including generative research, storyboarding, user-journey mapping, competitive analysis, prototyping, qualitative feedback and quantitative testing a plus.
β’ Experience in the e-commerce space creating platforms, tools, and products that enable e-commerce sellers a plus.
