Role description
COMPANY: NuggMD is the nation's leading telehealth platform for medical cannabis evaluations, proudly serving over 2,000,000 patients since 2016. We connect patients with licensed physicians to obtain or renew their medical cannabis certifications quickly, affordably, and securely. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a highly motivated and passionate UI/UX Designer to help us expand into international markets. JOB OVERVIEW: We’re looking for a talented and driven UI/UX Designer who can build entire user experiences from scratch across web, mobile, and landing pages. You’ll work closely with the VP of Marketing and Sr. Engineering Manager to design intuitive, high-converting interfaces for ecommerce products, marketing funnels, and consumer apps. The ideal candidate has exceptional visual design skills, a user-first mindset, and thrives in collaborative, iterative environments. You’re just as comfortable building a full Shopify storefront as you are crafting a conversion-optimized landing page or refining the user flow in a B2C medical onboarding journey. Note: This is a UI/UX-focused role. You won’t be responsible for brand identity, but you should be able to execute clean, modern designs that align with an existing brand. Copywriting is not required, but if you have a knack for writing clear UX microcopy or marketing headlines, that’s a plus. COMPANY BENEFITS: β€’ Flexible schedule (10 - 20 hours per week) β€’ 100% remote work COMPENSATION: β€’ Contract role β€’ $65.00/hr. - $80.00/hr. Depending on Experience RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: β€’ Design full UI/UX for websites, landing pages, ecommerce experiences, web apps, and mobile flows from the ground up. β€’ Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and Sr. Engineering Manager to translate goals into clean, conversion-friendly designs. β€’ Build ecommerce UIs with a focus on ease of navigation, checkout simplicity, mobile responsiveness, and performance. β€’ Design for both B2C and B2B user journeys, understanding the differing motivations, sales cycles, and decision-making processes. β€’ Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and developer handoff documentation. β€’ Iterate designs quickly based on stakeholder feedback while maintaining a user-centered approach. β€’ Ensure usability and accessibility best practices are baked into every experience. β€’ Stay current with UI/UX trends, especially in ecommerce, conversion rate optimization, and consumer-facing digital design. QUALIFICATIONS: β€’ 3–5 years of experience designing UI/UX for consumer-facing digital products and ecommerce platforms. β€’ A strong portfolio showing completed B2C and/or B2B experiences on landing pages, storefronts, apps, and more. β€’ Deep understanding of the key differences in designing for B2C vs. B2B (e.g. trust-building vs. lead-gen, emotional appeal vs. logical workflows). β€’ Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms, including PDPs, cart/checkout flows, and user account areas. β€’ Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools like Adobe XD, Sketch). β€’ Excellent visual design instincts: typography, layout, color, spacing, and responsiveness. β€’ Comfortable collaborating across departments and presenting ideas to non-design stakeholders. β€’ Open to multiple rounds of feedback, with the ability to refine designs while maintaining a strong creative vision. β€’ A user-first mindset. STANDOUT CANDIDATES HAVE: β€’ Experience designing for Shopify (themes, checkout flows, PDPs, etc.). β€’ Copywriting experience or the ability to draft content alongside design work.
