Position Overview:
The UX/UI Designer – Digital Commerce will play a critical role in elevating the customer journey across Garan’s retail and owned digital channels.This role is responsible for developing intuitive, visually compelling product listing pages (PLPs), product detail pages (PDPs), and digital bundles that drive both engagement and conversion. The ideal candidatehas experience designing for marketplace environments like Walmart and Amazon, understands the nuances of mobile-first commerce, and can balance storytelling with data-informed design decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer-Centric Design Execution
• Design and optimize PDPs, PLPs, and digital collections across Walmart.com, Amazon, and Garan’s owned eCommerce platform
• Translate insights from customer behavior, user testing, and analytics into clean, intuitive design solutions
• Create responsive, mobile-first designs that meet accessibility standards and retail platform guidelines
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with the digital merchandising, marketing, and content teams to ensure designs are aligned with brand messaging and commercial goals
• Work alongside developers to ensure seamless handoff, accurate implementation, and high-quality QA
• Present wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final designs
Innovation & Optimization
• Help develop a scalable design system for product content and merchandising pages
• Stay current with UX/UI trends, competitor experiences, and platform updates(Walmart, Amazon, etc.)
• Identify new tools, practices, or layout structures to improve customer engagement and reduce friction
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of UX/UI experience, preferably within ecommerce or retail marketplaces
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or comparable design tools
• Strong portfolio showcasing responsive PDP and PLP design(especially for Walmart or Amazon)
• Understanding of retail search behavior, conversion triggers, and accessibility standards
• Ability to balance creative excellence with speed, feedback, and iterative testing
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and receive constructive feedback
